@ASRBP Yeah, the revving before the actual race, sure. I get that. The practice one is just a waste. Turbos compress air. A hot turbo then has hotter air, which cant be compressed as efficiently as cooler air. Heat does not make the exhaust flow more freely. Most headers and first portion of the exhaust are wrapped to REDUCE heat on any car serious about making power.

And yeah, I drive a bus..and Airbus, which makes a bit more than 200,000hp.

Why would you do all that pre-race stuff? EVERYTHING you did hurt the actual race performance. Revving the engine? Heats up everything. Heat HURTS turbo powered cars. Practice launch? Umm, it is awd, and you needlessly heat the clutch up too. Oh, and learn to shift faster.  Bouncing off the rev limiter is not good for speed.

And actually, it is a Skyline GT-R. Read the back of any R34.

Actually, the official export designation of Modern GT-R -specification Skylines has been plainly "Nissan GT-R" and the only exception have been the two special order production runs for Nissan UK, for the ESVA loophole.

But that's splitting hairs. Only collectors give a damn if one is a JDM "Skyline GT-R", AUS export R32 "Nissan GT-R", UK export "Skyline GT-R" or whatever. I've had a number of Skylines/GT-R:s in pretty much all of these designations and specs.

@akredhat the veyron has a 7 speed dsg sequentail ... thats a manual, though u dont need to have a clutch pedal .. but it still remains a manual, because its a manual, it doesnt have a torque converter (which all automatics have - also responsible for loss of some power - hence, automatics have lower acceleration than manuals), thus the vayron is essentially a manual ... the slr still stands to be the fastest "automatic" ..

The driver can place it in *fully automatic* mode, where the one of the onboard computers controls and keeps the lowest gear possible in use to ensure the highest acceleration. Or, if the driver so chooses, can switch to manual and use the dsg paddle shifters. Ergo, the Bugatti still stands as the fastest automatic.

@johnyjoe2k Dude the R33 Skyline does 60mph in 4.9 seconds "Standard". Tune it to 600hp and you will easily rip up the SLR as shown in the video.

The 600hp won't mean much as you'd need to boost the hell out of it which means a lot of turbo lag. The R33 didn't beat the SLR. Expand the video and look closely! The SLR beat the R33. The R33 only took the launch briefly, I'm guessing cuz of the AWD traction, but the SLR took the long run. I'm not hating on the Skyline either. I think its a great car, but you do get what you pay for when you purchase an SLR, which is 0-60 in around 3 seconds.

Nah i'm not hating on the SLR but just the price tag hurts a lot, when you can have an excellent car for much cheaper.
