  • Irwin R Shyster

  • Mike Rotunda or Mike Rotundo?

  • Lawrence Michael Rotunda. Rotundo was one of his ring names he used at one point in his career.

  • @gtz1975 vince mcmahon used to try to get copyrights on wrestler's names [think brutus beefcake]. he did that with mike rotunda but to get around it he used rotund-O in wwf and rotund-A in nwa. or maybe it was the other way around.

anyhoo, i don't know which is on his birth certificate but that's the reason for the rotunda/rotundo discrepency.

  • Awesome. Classic wrestling.

  • bull shit mike rotunda you screwed me spjts in rotunda's face

  • Barry windham said near enough the same thing about why he left the WWF

  • Vince must have thrown major dollars at him to come back. He ended back up in the WWF and took on the IRS gimmick. He still with the WWE even today.

  • Like the saying The Million Dollar Man is fond of saying: EVERYONE'S GOT HAS A PRICE!

MONEY TALKS AND BULLSHIT WALKS EVEN IN PREDETERMINED MATCHES!

  • He looked so young back then. Had this innocent look to him. I thought that he was far better in the NWA than he was in the WWF. He was very talented and decicated to pro wrestling the first half of his career. Didn't like that Michael Wallstreet thing that he was doing in the ear'ly '90s. I like him as Mike Rotunda ONLY!

  • Always thought Mike Rotunda looked like a mixture of Bruce Campbell and British Actor George Irving.

  • @mrxskull I think he looks like Will Clark of the Giants circa 1986

  • @mrxskull Damn it, I thought I was the one who saw the Bruce Campbell connection! I salute your perspicacity.

  • Is that George Michael (channel 4 in DC) The Sports Machine doing the interview? Was it still the civic center in 87? I know it was the baltimore arena in 90 (now the 1st mariner arena). It's funny that it out lasted the capital center that lured the bullets out of baltimore.

  • Yes that is indeed George Michael. George was a great journalist in the field of sports, and was one of the few to ever treat wrestlers and wrestling with any kind of respect.

  • this was done on April 10, 1987, the first night of the Second Annual Jim Crockett Sr. Memorial Cup tournament in Baltimore, Maryland at the Baltimore Civic center, I was 15 years old and back stage when the were recording this.

  • April 10-11, 1987 in Baltimore, Maryland
