Since tolkien practically created modern fantasy, it's nearly impossible to have fantasy that doesn't borrow from lotr. PS Tolkien borrowed a ton from Norse and Greek mythology

lol, shore would never have written more music for a video game. He spent, what was it,6 years working on his masterpiece? Top composers would not contribute to a video game (other then providing music they composed for the film to be used, which he has no say in that either). And even if he agreed, they do not have the money to invest in him. Most of this music is all electronically created through virtual instruments. Shore would need an orchestra , cost over 200,000 just for that

@Heifsin85 But Howard Shore has composed music for video games. He wrote the entire score for Soul of the Ultimate nation only a few years ago. Great stuff to listen to too if you enjoy his work.

i still think they should have howard shore compose the music. There's no same lotr feel to this game any more. But i like the music itself (still haven't played bfme 2)

I agree with you on the music but you know most of the music in the game are directly from the movies.

As for the game; well you will find BFME2 different in many ways if you played BFME1. Campaigns are now mostly linear, there are new factions like the Goblins who kinda looks like a faction from WoW. It's not a bad game but I defenitly prefer the feel of the first one. Altought the expansion for BFME2 bring in much more fun.

What do you mean, "looks like a faction from WoW."  You do know that WoW has just ripped off everything from LOTR to begin with, right?

The only possible reason why a BFME faction looks like one from WoW is because the ones from WoW are moddeled after the ones from the books.

This isnt a right statement Warcraft has huge lore and much more diferend than lotr. Ofcourse every game with orcs/goblins etc will remind you lotr as it is the biggest franchise out there.

Now compare it to "Rise of the Lich King" - name.

And i dont see the way Wow ripped things from lord of the rings warcraft series started while there wasnt even a lord of the rings movie out there only the books that have been written during the world war 2. So you really cant say that Wow ripped off lord of the rings.. While i have to admit that the last area of the last expansion known as icecrown has some similarities with lord of the rings.

Yea, i know that, but just compare the names.

And, well, it's not easy for anyone to get a completely new idea for fantasy. It's awlays the elves - orcs- men - dwarves and in WoW case also werewolves, goblins, gnomes, undead, tauren, and the half-human half-tauren looking things...

Haha as soon as they released "Rise of the Lich King" I decided WoW is just an LOTR mmo without a license.

@HalloReichhold this game was inspired by lotr the movie not warcraft 3 ;) and warcraft 3 ripped off tolkien's lotr (the book) and turned orcs into goody do gooders instead of the man eating beasts that we love to see them getting wacked by elves, dwarves and men of the west

Great soundtrack. Regarding the Expansion, Angmar is a really dynamic faction. I hate how The Hall Of The Kings Men seems pretty much helpless under attack, I think the buildings have less hit points but I admit, I'm not a great Angmar player so my base gets attacked pretty good. Wizzards are great vs gobs. The best sound in the expansion is the sound of a wizzard dying. UHUHAHHAh! I wish more people played this game, it's fun, and I wish EA would fix a few more things in it., BFME2ROTWK!!

Well, I bought Collector´s Edition, but the only language was English. Because I am German, I changed it into normal version ^^.
