This is the best film version besides Disney's! The songs are so powerful and beautiful! I love those two actors of Cinderella and Edward, they are so good together! I have watched this movie around a 1000 times!
This is one of the prettiest part of the film for me. She is so lovely in that dress and the swing is just so....aw! This whole scene is picture perfect!
And then there is Cinderella singing and it makes it all the more prettier! <3
i cry every time i listen to her sing this song. "although our song is through, i can't stop loving you." i can practically feel her heart aching. sooo good! one of the best cinderella stories (the other being ever after with drew barrymore).
i looooovvvveeeee this song it touches me i had movie but we moved and now i can't find it i almost cried because i loved this movie so much when i was a little girl... i still love it no what
Annette Crosbie has to be the most original Fairy Godmother in any Cinderella tale....she pretty much steals every scene she's in, and adding "Fred" as her faithful pooch is wonderfully clever.
Gemma Craven...such an incredible voice, and quite a lovely actress...I think I've come to appreciate her performance more each time I watch this.
@joanneronny hi everyone, I'm here again, but this time preparing for my finals! I really need to get a new playlist on youtube...still listening to the same stuff...what a sad case! lol
At the beginning of the movie the prince rejects a princess from another kingdom, and when word gets out that he's chosen to marry a "commoner" over the princess her father (actually, her father's advisers) tell the dad that unless the princess and the prince get married they'll go to war. So, she is forced into exile (see "Tell Him") so he can marry the princess. This scene is her saying that even though time has passed she can't get over being in love with him.

The painting is by Fragonard~~ my love!! "The Swing" was made by him also, so the scene does connect with the painting.
This movie...........SO ROCOCO!!!!!

I agree with maxi937 they just don't make such romantic songs anymore now it seems instead of love and romance it's all about sex and lust.

Does this look like the Rococco painting "the swing" to anyone else? Minus the perve hiding in the bushes, of course.

@blatherskitenoir Yes, it's based on it.

As for what happens after this point... well, you should watch the movie. It's better if you don't know what to expect.
