We didn't. The camera was put up to find out how Brandy was escaping. Her owner happened to look and see she was "in the act" and ran out. Once it was determined how she was escaping, the "hole" was plugged. All for Brandy's safety and happiness... =)

how is it cruel? its a dog climbing a fence... i didnt see anyone beating the dog, or not feeding it, or shooting it... THAT would be cruel. perhaps the dog isnt house trained and has to stay outside because it will shit everywhere indoors, or perhaps its in a kennel because it runs away to find the lady dogs and gets on the roads etc.... SHEESH.

i used to have a dog who was part coyote, and she would do the same thing. she would escape from anything, but she would always come home. she got herself hit by a car, but she still never gave up.

now i have a poodle who wont go out of the house when i want to take him on walks. some dogs need to be free and some are happy to be pets.

Actually, I know both the dog and owner pretty well. The 'kennel' you're seeing is just the corner fence of a VERY large yard. She has full roam of the yard as well as the house while the owner is at work. Not quite sure why she's started this behavior but she's definitely a smart dog!
