  • Love these cookies, the kids go nuts for them!

  • Thank you for the great recipe, I made some cookies and they was really delicious.

  • @RokKandi I get mine at Whole Foods,

  • This is a great recipe. I make these all the time and im not even vegan! I make these everytime i run out of butter or eggs. nobody notices or asks. Haha

  • Those look pretty good.

  • Boy some of you people are lazy. I went to the website. 3 clicks of a mouse. Here's the recipe 1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour (see note) 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 cup unrefined sugar 1/4 teaspoon sea salt 1/3 cup pure maple syrup 1/4 teaspoon blackstrap molasses 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract 1/4 cup canola oil (a little generous) 1/3 cup non-dairy chocolate chips
  • @ParadisePromises thnx helping lazy ppl.....very helpful

  • @ParadisePromises you can buy non-dairy chocolate chips?? where?!

  • @RokKandi I buy mine at whole foods in the bulk bins, they also have pre-bagged but its 5.99lb bulk and 5.99 for 12oz bag not bulk. They are made with carob instead of cocoa too.

  • Thanks

  • Beautiful cookies <3 We tripled the batch. Excellent!

  • Something is wrong with the recipe on the site! Please fix it! Thanks

  • jeez you talk too much

  • to be fair aren't cookies already vegan? i mean they got no meat in them at all lol unless you buy some nasty-ass meat filled cookies lol those wouldn't be that sweet at all :P

  • umm eggs butter milk?

  • @adoringcarmine umm do u know what vegan means?

  • @cutycake umm that was meant to be a reply to someone else's comment so mind your own bloody business

  • @adoringcarmine It had no @ on it...so how the hell was I supposed to know? Dick

  • @santaswords Veganculters avoid eggs and dairy in addition to evil meat. Sometimes they even force this insane diet on their poor kids............who sometimes develop failure to thrive and worse.

  • @tickyul vegans aren't the smartest one's in the bunch anyhow lol

  • @tickyul Where did you get this false information??? "failure to thrive and worse"??? From a vegan diet?? You obviously know nothing about health, diet and nutrition.

  • Fear the Cult, the Vegancult.

  • @tickyul why?

  • @MarciMK79 Ok, so you assume that people eating meat are going to be fat????? How about the huge bush by Big Brother for it's feeble minded inhabitant to eat more and more carbs............that has something to do with PORKER USA????? The Vegancult diet does not work, you HAVE to cheat to keep your sanity and keep from developing severe deficiencies. Wow, how about the history of man EVOLVING on a diet of animal foods.

  • @tickyul Yes- we have evolved on a mixed diet of meat and veg.

There is scientific research supporting a plant-based diet excellerates evolution, however. some people report freaky changes like growing taller when switching to a raw plant-based diet. These days, no-one NEEDS meat or animal products. If you are struggling to get B12 from alternate sources you can take the vitamins which are produced industrially. A healthy veggie will live longer than a 'healthy' meat-eater.

  • @jessicalovestheused thank you!

  • can someone post the quantities of ingrdients ? thx.

  • You're not a vegan cook but more like a vegan moron. Don't you think it's pertinent to provide the QUANTITY for each ingredient needed?! This recipe is an epic FAIL.

  • what kind of brand baking soda i can use like hammer stronge?

  • Subscribed!! I find Vegan food is delicious

  • may i please have nutritional. facts? like calories and serv. size. by the way these are GREAT!!!! I can't stop eating them i've already had like 5 or 6!! this can't be good.

  • can i use ESCJ instead of refined sugar?

  • Comment removed

  • Chocolate chips have milk

  • @jonesyluvsya

Wrong. Ghirardelli brand chocolate chips are vegan

  • if anyone needs the measurements you just go to there website.... the link is in the ''show more'' thingy

  • Oh how about the ammount, the measurments, please message me the measurments to this amazing recipe, im allergic to eggs, and i came across your recipe, AND I LOVED IT!! :]

So please sent me the measurments

    Thank-you!

  • Vegans uses white flour and white sugar??? Not too natural!!! Not using butter.. why? You don't have to shoot the cow to get the milk to make the butter. Vegan are generally skinny and look sickly. Look at her arms.. SCARY! and her fingers.. paint her green and she'll be a great wicked witch of the west.

  • @cboncklis

VEGAN doesn't mean "all natural", it means "I don't use products that come from animals suffering and being tortured". The cows that are used for dairy are kept in fences so small they can't even turn around or sit. Their utters are used so much they're often infected, swollen, and/or bleeding. They almost never get to see sunlight, if they do at all, are pumped full of chemicals that make them sick, and they often die on the spot from all this. now that's SCARY.

  • @cboncklis Actually, you do have to kill a cow to get the butter. Dairy cows have their babies taken away from them to be slaughtered for veal.. the workers then take the milk (that was intended for the baby) from the mother.. So, they are directly linked.

Also, most of us are over weight so maybe that is skewing your perception of people's bodies. We're all sized differently. This is coming from a vegan who is definitely not underweight (or even just a skinnier body type, as the host is).

  • Hey,

we made vegan chocolate cookies the other day...it was yummy..

hope you can check out the video we made. it's in your video response to this video.

    thanks

  • coconut oil give cookies a GREAT butter flavor. So damn good!! But i wish you would have given the measurements so I could bake these!!!

  • sooo yum

  • i need measurements!!!

  • @anime2diva yea we do! They hardly give measurements!

  • @anime2diva agree

  • Dreena, you are so good at this... why don't you have more recipes/videos?

  • Well, I'm not sure what the deal is, but I had to increase the flour by 50% and decrease the bake time by 2 minutes (from 11 to 9) to get these to come out right. Only one cup of flour made batter only slightly more viscous than raw pudding. 1.5 cups set it right. Of course, I'm using spelt flour, but I don't recall that ever happening before. However, I must say, that once I got the ratios right, these cookies are amazing. I cannot believe they are vegan. You are a Genius Dreena!

  • i thought vegans cant eat or have milk=choclate chips involve milk

  • @Gismo1396 that is milk chocolate chips that have milk, semi sweet chocolate chips don't usually have milk though some brands do. All you have to do is look at the ingredients when you buy them to see if that brand has milk.

  • since when is chocolate vegan.?

  • @cassidyladeefuckinda semi-sweet chocolate and dark chocolate is vegan :)

  • vegans are wimps! drink some good old cows milk like real people.

  • @randydandy1974 LOL last time I checked with nature Cows milk was for baby cows and Milk is for babies in general. Are you a little baby?

  • @randydandy1974 that good old cows milk is terrible for you it is full of fat and bad for your skin not mention its for COWS not humans why cant you accept not everyone is like you theres no such thing as real people everyone is real but everyone is different so learn to live with it you ignorant ass

  • The best vegan chocolate chip cookies I've baked! Delicious

  • I love the videos but we need measurements please .

  • Just going off to eat a dairy milk. Heaven!

  • I love how she implies vegans are so flavor deprived; "it'll bring back those memories of a child of those tender rich cookies you used to love and you've been longing for as a vegan!"

GET OFF OF YOUTUBE YOU ELITIST!

  • Wish the amounts had been listed alongside the ingredients..........

  • i've never tasted a vegan cookie that was any good . there is no sub for real butter and milk. vegan is crap. helathy maybe, but crap.

  • @digitaldown Your ignorant :-p .

  • @xaviermockingbird my ignorant?

  • @xaviermockingbird if you think vegan cookies are as good as "real" cookies you are high with the munchies, you fucking stoner.

  • @digitaldown fuck yeah! that's me

  • Is the chocolate pure ar 100%?...not vegan...but what do I carw? I eat anything(I am omnivorous)

  • @Poodleinacan there are various brands of 100% vegan chocolate chips. chocolate comes from cocoa. no milk needs to be involved.

  • @priestesskasey Vegan or not, the higher the chocolate percentage is, the tastier it is., But when I will buy chocolate, I take the better quality/price.(which means that I don't care if there's milk or not...but the "vegan chocolate" probably is more expensive because it is said vegan........Yea, I'm happy I love to eat anything I can, and try........One day, I hope I will try eating some snake.).

(The message you respond to has errors, because I wrote it from my Ipod touch. ).

  • @Poodleinacan Vegan chocolate is not very expensive , you can buy a 12 oz bag of chocolate chips for around 3 dollars at most grocery and health food stores .

  • we made these cookies at a house party and it was f*cking epic!!!

  • I have made these many, many times, and I like them better than the "regular" ones that include eggs and butter. Yum!

  • omg if you don't like meat/eggs/whatev, then don't eat it. but seriously don't call everyone else a bad person and say their gonna die early and sh*t just because they get their protein.

  • I'm not vegan but vegan baking is good for lactose intolerance!

  • those look so yum! I will deff be making them :-)

  • ive made them twice and theyve turn out delicious everytime!

  • Love this, please upload more videos about vegan cooking

  • A vegan doesnt use milk?...But chocolate has milk in it <_<

  • @P3AC3F1GHT

no, not all chocolate. only nasty fattening cheap chocolate

  • @P3AC3F1GHT...... MILK chocolate does------not semi sweet

  • @P3AC3F1GHT haha no it doesn't what are you stupid? haha

  • @fanta09 lol that's wht I was thinking! (I don't have anything against vegans lol)

  • is it right to eat chocolate chips since most chocolate is made out of milk?...sorry im so new and clueless to this vegan stuff which im trying to apply to my life

  • @fanta09 Most of the chocolates in the mass supermarkets are contaminated with dairy and are expensive! In my world&morals, it is absolutely wrong to eat them. There are companies out there who have a dairy free policy (plamil.co.uk). Good luck with your veganism!

  • @fanta09 Welcome to the wide world of veganism! Personally, I use semisweet (not bittersweet!! Bittersweet is not vegan..) ghiradelli chocolate chips. They haven't any animal products in them.

Other choices, admittedly, might be better for animals or the environment, but ghiradelli are very flavorful, vegan, and are cheaper.

  • @fanta09 chocolate is naturally vegan, until they add milk which is later in the process

  • that made me hungry!!

  • you didnt give the measurement

  • @strawberryaddict09 BUT she DID give the website with the measurements in them.

  • vegan ruined life

  • @2submit sucks for you haha! : )

  • The music and the backround looks like your gonna show a small picture of your face hahahaha

  • I'd replace the canola oil with hempseed oil instead. CANOLA IS BAD..!!!

  • @lextorite I wonder why...? is it worse than hidrogenated oils you reckon?

  • @lextorite fuck yeah and hemp comes from bud bro

  • thumb up if ur high right now

  • Chocolate chips are made with milk are they not?

  • @Cody95xo Um........are you that dumb MILK chocolate chips are made from milk not semi sweet or dark chocolate etc.....

  • @TheBunkitty She doesn't say though! And I'm not dumb, I'm just making the point that she should have said what type of chocolate chip they were!

  • @Cody95xo Chocolate chips are only made with milk if you buy milk chocolate chips , regular chocolate chips don`t have milk in them .

  • @xaviermockingbird Actually a lot of them do have dairy ingredients.

  • ok, seriously, where are the measurements? and chocolate chips? can you tell us the vegan type/brand? there are some new vegans who need all the help (and encouragement!) we can get...thanks anyway, but not too good a video

  • @nulifeagain you should try carob chips. they taste amazing and are 100% vegan! you can definitely find them at whole foods in the trail mix / nuts aisle and i bet they are at trader joe's too. :)

  • ok, i take back my comment! got the exact measurements from the website mentioned in the video, tried these today and DAMN are they good! finally, a great vegan cookie recipe! thanks so much dreena burton!

  • where are the measurements???

  • @mrjumbo2010 In the website

  • how is chocolate vegan? i've recently converted and i'm dying for some, but isn't it made from milk products?

  • @blinkme478 Dark chocolate contains no milk products, unlike "milk chocolate", which contains milk ingredients

  • @love29875xo thank you :)

  • hi will the taste be the same if i don't add the vanilla extract? is there something else i can use to substitute it?

  • i heard vegan food is nice never tried it though hope it's good i can never live without meat or milk i would die without those food

  • I just made these and I love them! I already had all the ingredients. I"m glad it doesn't involve soy since there are soy allergies in our family. Thanks!

  • Canola oil? Try to research how horrible it is. Safflower is a great sub

  • That sounds fabulous! Can I use carb chips instead of chocolate?

  • hey i was wondereing if it is ok to use corn syrup instead of maple syrup?

  • @ilovearvin1

Maybe, but it's kind of risky. Corn syrup has a different consistency than maple syrup, and maybe a different sweetness level.

  • mmmmm......chocolate!XD!!!!

  • @andresrojas22 sometimes people are allergic to certain ingredients... you make society so sad

  • Why do people even make non vegan cookies?

  • @DarkAnt0nio

Because one can't make vegan meringues, and the thought of strange chemicals being constructed into one is more frightening to most people than an unfertilized chicken egg.

  • These were definitely the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had. Plus making them is really easy, so is cleaning up afterwards. Talking about it, I feel like making some again - right now!

  • Im vegetarian, not vegan. But i like the idea of vegan baking better just because i think it's more guilt-free, idk. :P i made some vegan cookies the other day and substituted the eggs with banana and i have to admit... those cookies were fricken hardcore!!!

  • Uh cookoe-vegan-retarded.

  • @maqmaher Vegan simply means no animal products. Sugar comes from a plant. Choclate comes from a plant, so provided there isn't any animal product added, it's vegan.

  • So where do you get black strap molases?

  • I've always wondered, if you're choosing to be vegan because you think animals aren't to be used for these purposes from a moral standpoint....do you realize that millions of cows, chickens, pigs etc etc etc would never exist if it wasn't for the products they are used for? They literally wouldn't be born.

If you're just allergic to various, that just sucks. Life literally would be so terrible without cheese. At least I'd have tea I suppose.

  • @hunthicks OMG are you serious? So if I am an animal I should strive to be born just so someone can come along and slaughter me???? Really? WOW.... I would rather not be born, than to be killed in such a brutal way just so someone can get their protein fix. Too bad we don't consider humans fair game for protein - because you would be at risk for the chopping block. But I guess that would be okay for you because you would feel lucky to "be born." You are a moron.

  • @chloegirl1005 Lol. Moron eh? I'm glad to see you just proved my point. Once you are born, you are going to die regardless. For most animals, that's 15 - 20 years at max. Probably 8 - 10 for a chicken. You are actually willing to suggest, you'd prefer to have never been born than have your life cut short? Life is an amazing thing - and personally I'd rather experience it. And, were you never born - you'd never have moral issues to deal with anyway. >.<

  • @hunthicks so if you lived in a cage, and i cut your beak off, and let disease run rampant and let you shit on your floor, you'd be cool with that? "friendly" chicken is just not sustainable. you have to treat them terribly to have KFC, or mcdonalds or Best Choice chicken breast in bulk for 7 dollars. no other way.

  • @hunthicks wow...

  • i made these and they

were delicious and im not even

vegan. they were so buttery and there

wasnt even any butter in it lol

  • shes too skinny

  • @bunnielovesknuckles first....body size is not a matter at all for cooking demonstration, and look at her arms, not skinny at all...

  • @Marshallma Yes, something weird about members of the Vegancult, especially the kids. It really baffles me why someone would put their kids on this insane cult of a diet. You can pull up tons of horror stories on Google Scholar about the horrors of this deficient way of eating, try: "veganism""anemia".

  • 26 meatards were here.

  • @paramorelovification Not all of them, you can find semi-sweet ones that don't ;D

  • Don't chocolate chips have milk in them?

  • are they soft????

  • wow

  • Cookies are already vegan OMG. LOL.

No eggs are in cookies... Ive never made cookies with eggs in them.

  • @dillpickleboocutie Too bad, eggs would be a step up from just about anything in the Vegancult diet. Eggly-Wegglies could be called natures perfect food...oh yeah, they often are.

  • @tickyul I love eggs, I'm not vegan.

But I cookies don't have any dairy or eggs in them...

Just use margarine instead of butter... Got damn.

  • @dillpickleboocutie Uh........Margaine????? That crap is .....Uh, crap. Why not use the real deal....butter.

  • @tickyul I have to have it lol, i like butter. But im fucking allergic to milk :(

  • @dillpickleboocutie Most of the time allergies are from the protein portion of the offending food, butter is rarely something people are allergic to. The yummyosity factor of your cookies is gauranteed to go up if you use butter. It has to be hard being a Vegan, can't eat this, can't eat that, I would go crazy.

  • @tickyul Lol I know. I'm allergic to butter but I still sometimes have it. But I like the taste of margarine in cookies, etc. I was vegan and or vegetarian for a while. Meh.

  • @dillpickleboocutie Ok, I will query you a little further if you do not mind. What leads you to believe you have an allergy to butter, this is really rare, do you start sneezing and itching, flushing, nausea...what? Have you been tested and what method of testing was used?

  • @tickyul Why does it matter to you? Lol, I shit for days. Get the worst stomach ache. And sometimes throw up. I once had burgers fried in butter with cheese, with butter sauce for dinner, then the next day had a bisquit with butter then 3 pieces of cheese pizza and couldn't move for the rest of the day. Cramps killl when I have milk and things. I can have cream cheese, sour cream, some cheese (in small portions), yogourt, and the littlest bit of yogourt. Every year it gets worse.

  • @dillpickleboocutie Sorry, did not mean to pry. Lol, do you leave your shitty panties in the sink? I mean, if it is that bad I understand, I have a reaction to certain types of cheese too, causes joint/nerve pain and inflammation. I do fine with butter, cream and cream cheese. The cheeses that give me problems are the ones that have been cured for a long time, I can feel the damaged nerves in my wrists start to hurt soon after eating. Try Oxy-Clean.

  • i had the BEST vegan ginger bread cookies.... and the applesauce egg alternative went GREAT with the cinnamon nutmeg and molasses

  • dont chocolate chips have milk in them?

  • @Some of them do, but there are some made with Rice milk and soy milk. But you can also buy carob chips in replacement

  • @tebuny1 I'm sure she is using vegan chocolate chips

  • The entire recipe can be printed from our website everydaydish(.)tv

  • @everydaydish For the recipe go to this everydaydish.tv/index.php?page=recipe&recipe=86

  • It would be nice if you would add the measurements somewhere, or did I miss something?

  • what tempiture was the oven in?.....arent chocolate chips non-vegan?

  • @windguitar7 You can get ones with soy milk and stuff.

  • recipe here

    everydaydish.tv/index.php?page=recipe&recipe=86

  • Wrong point of you to cookies overall. Who puts salt to biscuits? The salt is added to industrial cookies to eat more. Another thing, if you use baking soda, why you still add baking powder sins they both do the same? As for vegan salt is just another unhealthy mineral.

  • "Go to everydaydish(.)tv to download the recipe" ;)

  • Ohh, I want some.. I think I'm gonna make a batch of these tomorrow. Thanks for the recipe!

  • I definitely have to try this!

  • oh yeah and don't use white sugars or white flours. use brown instead. the white flours are parasitic. not that meat is bad, but theuy are injected andsteroids and all. unfortunately now also that store veggies are now genetically altered with insect and animal DNA. thank monsanto corporation for all that. the perfect cookie, the aim of 3d life lol. take care.

  • Im intrested in trying the vegan diet. Do I use certain sugars, chocolate, and any other special ingredients.

  • She looks so skinny. I was a vegan and now I am a lacto-vegetarian. and I feel fine with body then before

  • @akmalhakimvlog

So now you are on a wrong way. Milk way leads you to Breast Cancer or Prostate Cancer, Osteoporosis, Diabetes, Kidney Stones and other dangerous deceases when you get older.

  • LOL @ oven in the background.

  • I prefer almond milk with my cookies.

  • can you substitute the sugar for honey? or would it be better to just leave it out since the maple syrup is a sweetener?

  • @fourseventeenx3 I doubt this person would know since Honey isn't vegan
