HI, I can play the guitar and I'm planning to buy a ukulele. Can you play the guitar chords in (example: ultimateguitar) on ukulele ? I mean for example, the guitar chords of a song is D E Am G.. Can I play that on ukulele and still sounds the same ?

@Eeeewok yes and.... no, its simpler and much more fun on a ukulele for example a c chord is just one finger on fret 3, 4th string the best way i can introduce u is the way i was, as a guitar for over 20 years and recent convert to the uke, watch youtube vids of bohemiam rhapsody by jake shh.... the grand master and iz somewhere over the rainbow then look up ukulele mike enjoy! if u have big fingers try a tenor or concert uke first the sopranos are fun but fretwork hard for big fingers

@Eeeewok theyre the same note chord. A D chord on guitar will be the same sound as a D chord on uke. the fingering is obviously different but yes its the same chord so both could prob be played at the same time and sound nice.
