Pi multiplied by the radius of the cylinder squared will give you the force exerted

a 200 pound man can crush a can with his weight, if the pressure is not centered on the can, in other words 200lbs force will crush a can, if the can is already dented, and or the pressure exerted is slightly off center, on the other hand if the force is centered, and the can is not dented, i have supported over 600 lbs before it failed (school project)
