Sir Walter, you were the baddest dude and no one I mean no one could sing it like you ..one day when the world opens her true ears then you'll be recognised for the great artist you were and thank
he came to our hood when we were kids in his white rolls royce .he had moved from detroit to chicago.he came to the play ground where he always came with the older guys ( my brothers, and the other guys) that played ball. we would push him around in his wheelchair. when he came back he would be the sme no airs about him.he helped a lot of people elderly and young. gone too soon.
thanks for this beautiful song; tenth grade 1967; slow-dancing at the house parties on this record; great memories. We love this song. We were stunned to see Walter Jackson appear on stage in a wheelchair at his concert back then. It just made us appreciate his talent and tenderness even more so.
I smell it, alright !! This was the sh!# back in the day. I fell in love on this song. Yep !! My very first buckle shiner. There was so much friction during that dance, we was cracklin' like clothes in the dryer wit out fabric softener, LOL !! Never forget it. Gives me the willies just thinking about it.
und me an angel.....

I think that Issac Hayes must have been greatly influenced by him.

Born with polio, Walter once apologized to his fans, saying that singing wqas too easy! A monumental talent in much need of more exposure!

Walter Jackson's masterpiece! This man could sing with the best! May I suggest 2 songs I wrote?
"This Love That I'm Giving You" by The Joytones &
"This Love Affair" Gloria Gaynor. I'm sure you will
enjoy them forever!
Happy New Year, RafitaG2, best always, Alvin

Listen to 0:12 to 0:17 and then listen to the song "One of a Kind" from independent hip hop group Atmosphere.
