I'm sorry, but the format for these songs seems to be the same. Slow intro, a couple of verses or odd course, a fancy guitar solo two thirds of the way through, a fade out ending. It feels a smidge predictable.
As for the vocals, I can't imagine anyone singing along in concert. From one listen, I can't even tell what the guy is singing, it just sounds like typic death metal screaming. For a singer of the same type, I preffered the vocalist from old school Fear Factory. Better voice.

i agree, however i think most Trivium fans want them to make an Ascendancy pt 2 which would be great but i don't think it would do them any favours long term. there's nothing wrong with change aslong as you stay true to your fans with certain things you did before. i love the sound off this new album because it feels like not only Ascendancy + The Crusade, but also even Ember To Inferno can be recognized. i have no doubts that Trivium can only keep getting better at this point in their careers
Ember to Inferno was the shit, screaming, twas heavy, sounded badass. then Ascendancy came... A hero among failures, then the Crusade, a "small" album that still managed to kick ass. this almbum wasnt as heavy but they still had some face-kick material... trivium more screaming, heavy riffs.. more stuff like Pillars of Serpents.
Ember to Inferno had many shining moments and Ascendancy was Amazing. The Crusade was the hero among failures. I do like the direction they're going now though.
in my opinion the heavyest song on the record. this and insurrection but no song on the album has that extra kick that gets into heavy mode where its catchy up beat and just sick screams(besides down from the sky with obliterate anialate)

Ember to Inferno was the shit, screaming, twas heavy, sounded badass. then Ascendancy came... A hero among failures, then the Crusade, a "small" album that still managed to kick ass. this almbum wasnt as heavy but they still had some face-kick material... trivium more screaming, heavy riffs.. more stuff like Pillars of Serpents.

in my opinion the heavyest song on the record. this and insurrection but no song on the album has that extra kick that gets into heavy mode where its catchy up beat and just sick screams(besides down from the sky with obliterate anialate)

Man me and my friend j-bow were in his car than we heard what happens at 2:13 and we were blown away!! It is fucking amazing..... i love this song the whole album is good. Travis Smith is a hell of a drummer and i am trying to follow his footsteps.
