  • it is a beast.

    oh, okay then. :p

  • can one monitor handle this?

  • You answered a lot of my questions DerPateBo. Thanks!

  • @Spenz2 I'm glad my video answered your questions. Its allways great to hear that.

  • i like hd 5870!!!!!!!!!

  • i havent seen anyone with an amd cpu with the 5870 cards.

  • link0ot is correct, these games are optimized for nvidia, which makes this review a joke. If you look at passmark's website, they say the 5870 is over 20% more powerful than the GTX 285. They never showed games like left 4 dead 2, team fortress 2 or call of duty for a reason.

And these reviews never mention ATI's xfire superiority over SLI. This is significant and they overlook these things on purpose.

  • Yes your q6600 will bottleneck before the newest Ati graphics card will...

  • Hi, Sapphire or XFX ?

  • nice vid.,,,,,,

  • thanks

  • but still in performance the gtx 295 beats the hd5870. but only in performance rest is best on hd5870

  • but when the nvidia 300 S will be release ????

  • I think it will be released at the end of this year or at the first quarter of 2010, but there is nothing offical yet.

  • If you think ATI price is high wait until you see (next year lol) Fermi´s price tag. By that time ATI will have a better than Fermi and lower price for sure. Until this year i was Nvidia all the way, by now i prefer the cost/effect of ATI and i see them way ahead in development

  • To see the HD 5870 real or true potential then you should try other games that is not nvidia optimized. And I do agree with the price of the HD 5870 is high at the moment, so it is best to wait for it to become cheaper. Also, I would love to see nvidia's fermi gpu performance for comparison with the HD 5870 and the HD 5870X2.

  • yass first comment

btw would a q6600@3375 mhz bottleneck this?

  • I think it would bottleneck it a bit , but if you are playing games you won't recognize it, because a q6600 is still more than fast enough for games. So if you are doing a benchmark you will recognize a difference for sure, but if you're just playing games you would be still able to set your settings to maxiumum.

  • the reason the GTX 295 was so Much Higher FPS is because even ONE HD 5870 Bottlenecks the I7 at 4.0 so try again with a better cpu not being picky but those Bench marks looks NOTHING like the people with the i7
