@stonerpanda let's assess the abbreviation D.V.R.... D. Digital V. Video R. Recorder. This device records digital video. Seems like it meets the requirements to be a D.V.R. to me. I am interested to find out what your classification of a D.V.R. would be.
A DVR is typically a VCR-like device that records an external video signal to digital media, like a TiVO or my Sandisk V-Mate. DVR+camera is a better description, although it implies there is an auxiliary video input so you can record from other devices besides the built in camera. Example, my Canon ZR-60 with a video-in port. This is just a digital camcorder. Not knocking the product or anything, as I use one myself for aerial photography with great results.

Yes, there is a DVR and camera built into the key fob. The new version has 720 resolution.
