This has nothing to do with sex being bad. It's all about the principle and responsibility behind it. God's ultimate standard is that everybody waits until marriage to have sex and only has sex with that partner until death to them part. If everybody actually did that, then there wouldn't be an STD in the world.

Ummm, maybe because the idea of Abstinence is not the way we should be going. You have to be stupid to think young kids are not going to grow up and say, "Hey I hear abstinence is the best way to prevent STD's and pregnancy! Let's all be cool and practice it!" I think it is time you get your head out of the sand and understand that we need to be teaching kids and teenagers about safe sex practices because they are going to have it regardless of how many scare tactics you use against them.
Because we all know how informative abstinence only education is to the young people. /obviousscarcasm
