His 'extras' was also dull as there were no stars in it apart from Robert Deniro, David Soul & Patrick Stewart. (all of them being American). Series One of The Office was first broadcast in the UK between 9 July and 20 August 2001 and was written by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant for subsequent production by the BBC.
