Watching this again after a gap of many years it occured to me just how good a communicator Geoff was. I first got interested in gardening thanks to him and GW hasn't been the same since. Sorry, Alan!

Ahh the gentle days of GW. I remember watching whilst waiting for Shooting Stars and The Comedy Zone which followed.

Shame the BBC have now completely ruined the format. Geoff would not be happy.

Me too. I'd have never seen this where it not for the scheduling, and I love that divine acoustic and the gentle nature. It will never be recaptured, this was Geoff's show, a time we all enjoyed whether we were devoted fans or not
