Hey man. I have a question.

My band is wanting to record a cd with programed drums. I've been considering getting EZDrummer to do the job, but I was curious on how exactly I can record them. Do I need a MIDI controller?

Also, for recording guitars, should I use a microphone in front of my amp to record or is it better to get something like the M-Audio Fasttrack or something?

It would help A LOT if you can help me figure it out.

@CallOfTheSirens4 you can write the drum tracks on guitar pro, that way you'd have full control over the track. But the only disadvantage is that your band needs to adjust with the tempo.

great writing :) One recommendation though: try making two rhythm tracks and panning each to opposite sides. This makes your guitar sound huge and more in synced up with the music. Especially for breakdowns.
