Soaking your balls in hot water for about an hr. works really well to. But dawn will discolor some bowling balls, but they usually go back to original in a week or so. I just use faucet water as hot as it will get.
I have to go every couple of weeks to get my balls Rejuvenated because of how heavy a shot my house puts down. I would love to have one of these for my own personal use. I guess a wise thing to do would be to save and invest prize fund, tourney, and pot money to purchase one.
@poeticism If you can't make it to your pro shop just run dawn dish soap into your ball, wash it off with warm water then dry it off with a dry towel and a good ball cleaner.
@poeticism Your balls will last longer before needed a revive if you wipe the excess oil on the cover off with a microfiber cloth (mainly because they absorb so much so easily) and clean your ball with a ball cleaner after every session to remove more oil from the cover.
@poeticism Huh, that is a lot of oil out there. I suppose a lot of bigger houses do that just to accommodate the open play. I know the two centers I frequent, the larger of the two definitely has far more oil out than the smaller one.
i just bought one of these for my proshop the best investment in my proshop. This revivor works great. And it depends how many games you have on your ball and the coverstock it could take 30 mins to 3 hours.

ran my black widow in the revivor for 5 hours before the oil was all gone. The ball hasn't had this sticky of a cover in a long time.

The ball manufacturer research Ive seen said this oil removal has much more effect than resurfacing.
