  • June is definitely the best Jo. Katharine did some embarrassing overacting and Winona is just... not Jo-ish. Not awkward, clumsy and boyish at all.

  • I can't believe taste is so different. Really? Winona over Kate? Come ONNNNNN!

  • @unclebobunclebob well i have nothing against Katharine Hepburn, I am a HUGE fan of hers and think she was terrific as Jo. I only chose Winona as my favourite Jo because, as a little girl hers was the version I grew up with and admired. In fact they're probably tied when it comes to who my fave is. The only Jo i dislike is june allyson.

  • @IluvKenji I actually think June is better than Winona. But like I said, tastes are different.

  • Christian Bale is the PERFECT Laurie :D

  • Lovely! <3

I prefer the 1949 version as well, but they're all great.

  • June Allyson followed by Katharine Hepburn. I adore the 1949 version. Still watch it at least once a year.

  • I love this pairing. Winona Ryder and Christian Bale were lovely together.

  • I absolutly love 1949 and 1933 versions!!!! I have a special edition of 1949 version and it has a lovely collection of photos of the film . I love Little Women!!!

Adoro las versiones de 1949 y 1933. Tengo una edición especial de 1949 que tiene una adorable colección de fotos de la película. Me encanta Mujercitas!!!

  • Hepburn's Jo is the best.

  • this story always makes me cry, I read the book and saw the 1994 version when I was nine, now Im almost twenty and every time I watch/read about Laurie and Jo it makes me cry... specially when she rejeted him. they belong toghether. I absolutely love this video. :)

  • Good job on this video!

  • one of my favourite books. i loved all the film versions, but the original with katherine hepburn was my favourite. :) you chose the perfect clips!!

  • I own all three versions on DVD. My mother likes the 1949 version. I like the other two.

  • It was so hard for me to watch Jo turn down Laurie :-( I would've said yes without a second thought. I think how their friendship eventually turned to love is exactly the way it's supposed to be;to marry your childhood best friend? It's perfect! Katharine Hepburn was amazing but June Allyson will always be MY Jo ^_^ Great video.

  • @CxHxRxIxSxTxIxAxN

Yeah it'd be great if she did say yes in that sense. It's always a nice story when you fall for a friend, but a lot of the time as shown in 'Little Women' it never feels right because it's hard to see some friends as 'more'. I think I get Jo in that way. But I've heard that in the book, when he proposes, she does genuinly actually love him but she feels they just wouldn't be right?! Is that true do you know?

  • @FunnyMsFace Not exactly. In fact she thinks it wouldn't work, but it never says that she does genuinly love him. But the part in which he proposes is so beautiful!

Why don't you read the book? If you liked the film I'm sure you're going to love the book! It's much better than the film! :)

  • Although it made me cry, I loved this video!... I love Louisa May Alcott, and I really love this story, but it's so tragic when Jo rejects Teddy! :(

  • I to would love to see the 1949 version. I can't seem to find it on youtube. Is it uploaded somewhere? Could somebody upload it please!?!

    That story is so lovely!

  • this video is so sweet!!

  • i like 1949 version best!

  • luv this movie (:

  • aww i love Winona Ryder. all of the wersions were wonderful :)

  • 1949's version is my favorite

  • June will always be my Jo, though Katehrine Hepburn is a wonderful actress. The film from 1949 is well kept in my heart. It's so touching!!!

  • this video is just lovely, and heartwarming. it gave me so many memories, and the song is perfect for jo and laurie!!

oh, june allyson. you will always be my jo!

  • Lovely Video.

  • Cool idea, putting all of the versions together! I definitely had a crush on peter lawford after watching that version of Little Women.
