I read an article recently saying the Ultimate Captain America differs the least from his 616 counterpart compared to other Ultimate Marvel characters but when you think about it Ultimate Captain America is responsible for so many changes to other characters:

The Hulk was created from an experimental version of the Super Soldier Serum

Peter Parker was bitten by a spider containing Norman Osborn's version of the serum called Oz

etc etc

Ultimate Spiderman is a wonderful (and KICK ASS!!) version of the original. I personally favor this story arc the most for the action, wonder, and questions it leaves: Will MJ go back into Ultimate Demogoblin form? Where are the Clones? Will Gwen come back as Carnage, or herself? These need to be answered and I can't wait until more issues come out. And on a side note: I wished they made this show into a tv series (even though they already have one coming out).

I started reading this a couple of years ago and I've read every issue. I still miss Mark Bagley. He's a great artist and he really helped to make the series awesome. I wish he stayed to do this Death of a Goblin story arc but whatever. I agree with the guy who said there should be a clone saga video game. Maybe they could make multiple story arcs fit into it.

I love this comicbook line, I've been collecting since the beginning in 2000...for those who don't know it takes place in the Marvel Ultimate Universe which is seperate from the mainstream and thoroughly re-introduces Peter Parker from the beginning set in the present...the stories have been amazing and writer Brian Bendis has developed the supporting cast in a genuine and believable manner...it sucks that the penciler Bagley has left the series though.

Sorry for the spoiler, but the Clone Saga did it for me and Ultimate Marvel for two reasons 1. they turned Mary Jane into the Demogoblin, (and she looks more like a Werewolf then the Demogoblin) and 2. There are rumors flying MJ's going to be killed off in a new story arc

Eh...Bendis made Peter Parker too much like an ordinary Teenager by making him say "like" every two words, it's not that good of a series. The Amazing Spider-Man, now that is a good series.

I know it's a reinvention, but saying it makes the old stories better is like slapping Stan Lee and Steve Ditko in the face, those guys were the most creative people ever...Stan Lee could be compared as a modern day Shakespeare, not because of his writing but because of his creativity. Has bendis created any new villains? No, he just takes old characters and TRIES to re-invent them, the only reinvention of a super villain I liked was Kraven the Hunter being a reality TV star.

Carange was created from dna of peter and Dr. Connors put together after what happened in venom saga. Then carnage killed gwen peter was ticked off at Dr. Conners saying "This is all your fault!" He fought carnage(without his suit) Killed it by taking it to a smoke stack. and the rest was history.( Peter said that carnage was his father and this is obvious when carnage makes a human face.) Carnage also had all the memories of peter and the memories of venom(notice I said venom. not eddie brock)
