I recall grooving to her "Star" in 1980. It's downright bizarre how her 1960's work was seemingly forgotten by the time she did her duet with Elton John in 1976 and even that was forgotten when she had her breakout album in 1980. But she never did catch on big over here.

Probably Britain's most under-rated female singer...seen Kiki live in 'Blood Brothers' as well as a gig in London where she sang live with a band for hours, and l adore her. This video is a treasure, just like Kiki Dee...

Totally agree she is one of the great under-rates. What I love about her is if you listened to just one song you might think "ok, but no big deal" but when you listen to a selection of her range you understand just how little of the total package you get at any one time. Modern singers tend to go straight to overdrive and stay there. All you get is the bellow. With a fine singer like this, you know there is always much more in reservere

I was wondering the same thing myself.

She's gorgeous, has a great voice and wonderful stage presence. The music industry is like every other business and they don't always play fair. Kiki should have been at the top.

Love this song! Kiki truly made some great records in the 60's. This is her at her blue eyed soul best. This record is perfect. Her 60's singles & 2 albums are worth hearing. She had a 10 year career before the Elton John connection.
