  • Every trains in California should be a vehicle code Especially when California gets the High speed Train running by 2020.

  • Bet everyone ain't aware that the Southern Pacific used to go thru this area 100 years ago?

Where 280 & BART cross at Alemany/Sickles/Sagamore is the EXACT route the SP (now Caltrains) ran to head down the Peninsula.

Before the "Bayshore" route along Brisbane and thru Bayview, the SP trains used to run along the EXACT existing BART route thru South City, Daly City thru Oceanview along 280/Balboa Park Station out thru the "Bernal Cut" thru the Mission (via Harrison) out to 3rd and Townsend!

  • I know this is a sorry sloppy excuse but I mean realistically the whole area of Broad street and San Jose to the 280 crossing isn't exactly Stockton street in Union Square (well except maybe at Plymouth) so you can pretty much run stops and not be expecting much cross traffic as that whole area of Oceanview is like a "suburban" locale....

    Just saying.....

  • 0:58 And in an ironic twist, you also caught a Mini-Van also not stopping at the line.

  • Lakeside? Brother this is Oceanview!!

  • Damn it! I'll fire the Producer...... Oh wait that's me .....I will fire myself just as soon as I can find someone to relace me!

  • Naw that's Lakeview ....lol

  • I'm liking the helpful tips you offer along with the segment you got going on Mr. Roberts. Keep up the good work!

  • They should signalize the intersection complete with train warning signals so it doesn't have to stop.

  • Better yet, just get rid of the streetcars and legalize taxis.

    google. com/search?q=taxi+deregulation

"We find that most economic studies of taxi deregulation find it to be on net beneficial. We mined the literature for economists' judgments on taxi deregulation."

  • Fuck that. I'm sure many people wouldn't want to pay a $3.10 Flag Drop Rate plus $0.45 per additional 1/5 mile. And those are the regulated rates...

  • @mikokat "And those are the regulated rates"

Yes. Deregulate and the rates drop.

"I'm sure many people wouldn't want to pay"

They're already paying more than that. It's well-established that taxi rides cost less than bus and light-rail rides. Deregulation doesn't mean private taxi services can't also run buses, in case some might want to gamble on the notion that buses might be cheaper.

  • idk.. hitsquad. But i REALLY don't want the beautiful, hilly city of San Francisco to turn into a NYC nightmare.
