we know how a capo works. we just mean that the instrumental significance is downplayed to the point that it no longer compares to the originals. Guitar players who tend to play commercial music tend to `Capo-ize' songs alot, despite impact it may have on the overall feeling of the song.

Why do people always complain about capos? If she didn't use a capo she would still have to change the key to fit her voice which is higher then Jack Johnsons. Capos are easier because you can keep the same chord voicing which means it will sound closer to the original.
