@serarblem123 No I didnt do that, I did get revived, but after I came back my whole team got wiped out with particle beam.

I am now retraining the team. 2 Ninjas, a Devout and a Magus. I plan to cast protect on each of them, then have the ninjas throw shuriken at the dark cloud (I have about 20 of them, they are expensive,though) and hopefully this will work!

@FifiDebord eh, thats a gay strategy and is overused. but if youre that desperate, go for it.  i know what you did, you didnt kill the 4 bosses before going to the cloud, so you never rescued the warriors of darkness. you get a little stronger for each one you save, and rescusing all 4 brings your stats up to normal when fighting the cloud.

@FifiDebord right after you enter the cloud after the cloud kills you for the first time, you see that purple glyph. there are 4 areas diagonally stretching from the platform, you have to go through the other 4 purple glyphs and find the 4 bosses that way. you dont just rush in to the glyph in front of you.

Story-

A powerful Magus dies and entrusts his powers to his students. Doga gets something (forget :P) Unei gets something, and Xande gets mortality. Xande feels cheated that he was given the "gift" of death, so he uses the Crystals of Darkness to stop the advancement of time. Obviously that's not good, so the Crystals of Light choose four people (whom are all orphans) to stop him. The disrupted balance of the Crystals are what made the monsters roam the world freely.

Xande had many of his minions protect the Crystals (who are the bosses).

The heroes finally make it to Xande and kill him. In an attempt to make up for the "unfairness" of a world without his existence, he summons the Cloud of Darkness as a last resort. The Cloud comes from the World of Darkness, and she wants to destroy both Light and Darkness to return everything to the way it was before: The Void. This is not good because the Void is nothingness, so the heroes must kill her.

Xande is given the 'gift' of mortality by a powerful Magus who dies. I forgot what Doga was given and Unei was given dream (hence having to wake her up).

In his anger Xande summons darkness using the dark crystals to try and stop time, which he succeeds in only the floating continent carries on. Four orphans are chosen to save the world from Xande and the darkness and the final boss is a manifesto of that darkness.

When the final boss transforms, hes got about 6 different body parts that you have to destroy.

And they all have ALOT of hp.

@nathanlurie Oh YEAH! Up until now, I played I, IIIj, IV ET, IV HT, V and VI in their respective original versions (emulator) and V was the hardest by far. I actually had to play through it twice because I didn't know about X-Magic/X-Fight and some other job system subtleties the first time around so I stood no chance against Exdeath. Even with X-Magic/Quick exploitation and 2-handed+X-Fight it was still hard enough...

@nathanlurie I don't know about "dirge of cerberus" (some sort of spin-off I suppose?) but the final battle of VI was the easiest one (I played the SNES version, but shouldn't be much of a difference) out of the FF games I played (I-VI except II). Kefka lasted exactly ONE ROUND and I wasn't even over-leveled (around 58). I had Edgar X-Jump (4x9999), Terra use 2x Ultima (2x9999), Celes use Ultima (9999) and Shadow throw an imp helbard (9999) and that was it.

Until now I've always been a bit reluctant to play it because I'm not a big fan of fixed-angle 3D with photorealistic background pictures (I don't know how to explain this any better) because of the lack of sharp borders on those "pictures", this makes it hard to tell where you can actually go and where secret passages are. Ever heard of the CD-I Zelda games? Though they're strictly 2D, the FF7 gfx reminded me of them somewhat.

But I decided to give the game a chance and try to understand that those graphics where probably considered really good back in 1997.

The game gets really fun and addictive after awhile, especially if you get the "knights of the round" materia.

You should also try getting Vincent.

I just randomly punch tweakers now.

Trust me, its easier with the team i used XD lvl 87 Bard, lvl 99 (Elegy dat i have minuses all dmg 60%) lvl 82 Blackbelt (9999 Hp) one Knight (Use Defend and Protect on everyone) then a Sage (For Cure, and Reflect) Cast Reflect, Apollo harp (Sing) and Boost And defend first turn. Then second turn, use Curaga/Curaja, Dream harp (Sing) or Lamia Harp (sing) then Attack / Boost, Then third turn Attack wit/ Blackbelt (36,000 + Damage) curaga, elegy, and REPEAT, u win in 4-5 turns

yes..if u get ur character to 99 and its job level is black belt 99.then u have just under 400 atack =0

never use dragoon on her it doesent work i know this couse i had luneth s job level 4 dragoon 99 and it didnt work hear that PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!
