China is improving. One day, a stable democracy will be instilled in China. However, don't forget that this takes time. Before going so far as to criticize human rights, try to notice the improvement in the standard of living.
Human rights come after everyone has food on the table, and even now, if you look closely, people in China are gaining more human rights.

Yeah it rather crappy but on the flip side no less then forty years ago people like this would not get a trial and just be shoot. So in the short run of history, things are looking up for China and its people.
