hi, i have a 1966 midget and im trying to take the front fenders off of mine as well and they wont come off after i have removed the bolts. i was wondering if they are all welded across the seam and am i going to have to plasma cut it off, or if yours was welded by a previous owner.
Interesting watching the overall progress. It's also a restoration project from the look of it. So you will not only end up with an electric car, but a restored classic.
The air chisel and plasma cutters look really good. My garage is just about big enough to get a 5door hatchback in to. Then I have about 2ft to open the door and squeeze out. I wish I had room for a huge garage to work on cars.
Yea that impact matting/heat shield mat over the tranny tunnel is like hard tar. What I did was took a heat gun to it and it peeled right away. I guess that was the sound deadening
(in thing) they used 40 years ago. So far in these vids I have come across most all the same processes or problems EXCEPT for the fenders being welded lol WTF was that lol.

Funny thing I found wrenches in the same spot on my 69 MKIV restore I am doing now. The wrench was made in England so I kept it for a silverier.
