The Bulgarians were turkic-mongol people, not iranian. Even Iranian historiography states so.

The descendants of Bulgars today are Tatars, Gagauzi and Chuvashi. The Chuvash language is the descendant of the original turkic Bulgarian language.

How do they confirm this? Do they have enough evidence to state the origin of the bulgarians? This is all bullshit. Modern bulgarians are decendents of slavic tribes and bulgarian tribes that merged in order to fight against the Byzantine empire. The bulgarians that came here were originaly from "Great Bulgaria" which was situated south of Russia, to the north-east from Varna and covered a vast territory from the Black sea to inner parts of Russia.After an invasion they split.Asparuh came here.
