dude u're good, I like ur right hand technique is really something u move ur hand through the neck like muzz skillings from living colour(I know he's not in the band anymore) pretty good honestly I know how to play the song my technique on the right hand is a little different though I only use my ring and index fingers, really rare when I use my middle but man this was good considering that this is ur first vid it was kickass

Well I had the drive on in the ashdown and a big muff pedal in there(not too sure on the settings). as for my amp itis usually set up like bass at 1 o clock, mids at 5 o clock, treble at 2 o clock but with a load of low mids in there and bass and mid up on the sterling. Its kinda a weird setup but its flexable enough with the basses onboard eq.

I would recommend any kind of drive, just not an overdrive. A big muff like the colorsound one is great to do a muse sound, but for that general distorted muse-bass-sound like in Time is running out or starlight you really need a muff or a drive that runs through a synth as well.

If thats not what you got then a bass driver (like boss) ist good with the bridge pick up turned off. the you put as much distortion in it as possible. low mid, high treble, some bass. wah pedal up maybe.

Nope as the guys below have said thats a 4 stringer and its in standard tuning. My 5 stringer has yet to make an appearence on youtube as the strings on it are ancient and i cant afford new uns :(.
