the Smart car, takes minimum damage to the front, everything is transferred to the underside of the car. the passenger apears to be safe and cosey. The Smart even uses the reverse momentum to back out of the way and keeps the passenger at a safe swinging movement seemingly reducing the damage to passengers when organs slam into the chest cavity.

i think the Smart is safer.

@mrjim145 Once more you miss the fact that the original Smart project dates back to 1989, well before the Cinquecento on which the Seicento is based upon. This is even worse for Fiat, which just marketed an old deathtrap with a new style to lure clients. The Seicento performs poorly in EVERY single crash test it's been tested in. Against the mighty Merc E-class it would have disintegrated, while the Smart - while NOT being the safest car on Earth - hold up very well. Go and see it.

btw, i don't know if you understand german: the test audi q7 vs. fiat 500 (the very new one) was meant to show the "crash partnership" problems between huge and small cars, not how good german cars are. the commentator didn't blame the bad result for the fiat 500 on itself (saying the 500 is one of the safest small cars these days), but on the huge q7. huge suv's are too strong, they destroy small cars like a tank. they need a "weaker" crumple zone - a better crash partnership.

the ADAC (makeing the test) is a driver's association, not a car industry association. it doesn't matter where the cars come from. there have been tests like mercedes s-class vs. opel corsa or c-class vs. smart too. can't we just stop thinking in these old fashioned ways like "they just want to make italian/french/german cars appear bad"? the result was: the LOSER/ASSHOLE is the Q7, and the car industry needs pressure from the legislative. btw: suv drivers have small dicks :p
