I got a quesyton.

Since it's Galveston that's on the Gulf Of Mexico, how is it that Houston got a huuricane? because looking on a Texas map, both cities are far apart from each other.

@MIKECNW Houston is only about 50 miles inland. they still get hurrican winds when one comes through. I live in texas city which is about 10 miles north of galveston,w e still got 105 mph winds here

true... storn surge ppl were in bad shape. but it depends on where in Houston, because there were parts that were really bad off - you know, trees right through their houses kind of thing.

Dude... I am one of those middle class houstonions and we got off easy compared to the people in the storm surge. We are still without power but we basically cleaned up our yards and started cooking out and drinking beer for a solid week.
