I agree about the rubber o-rings ... don't seem necessary. Is there any difference in accuracy between the different silencers? Is point of impact the same?
cant you turn section 3 around and screw it into section 1, you have 2 of everthing.. if it works thread wise.. would it not be better to remove section 2, turn section 3 around, screw it in and then screw your second section 3 in and then put the end cap on...
@isofaster simple mechanics bud. more baffles = less noise. but the more baffles you have the more the projectiles chances of accidentally striking a baffle are.. if you have ever had a gun go kaplooey in your face.. then thats a great way how..
adding 1 to 3 baffles shouldnt hurt much.. but more than 3 i would say is risky.

@gunvidder would like to see / hear the difference once you've tried it out and can then compare the original 4 sections with as many as 6 sections if its possible to do that after all..
@SwiftSilentDedly0321 Some PCP;s are quite noisy & when hunting noise is one thing you want to avoid.
Maybe your right about air guns being pea shooters but please do remember sometimes you don't use a sledge hammer to crack a nut, air rifles are very capaple guns for many situations. I have shotguns, 22lr HMR & a couple of air rifles, sometimes the air rifle is the tool for the job & a silencer makes it a better tool.
I know that when you get a little bit of knowledge about something, you start to feel superior when you encounter evidence that someone else has a little bit less than you do, but all you "suppressor" people need to consider a couple important facts. #1: the first commercial device to reduce firearm noise was dubbed (and trademarked) a "silencer" by its inventor. #2: even here in the US, firearm laws use the term "silencer" for these devices. Just relax; there is hardly any ambiguity here.
its supresser... not silencer... cmon ppl!?! do some research before spaming nonsence on the internet... you may not know but you'll pass for ignorants if you keep this up...
@gunvidder old fashioned would be calling it a supresser, cuz thats was that device real name, but after going thro a process of hollywoodazation it end up being called silencer, cuz hollywood producers where to stupid to ask the militarys the device name's... and thus naming it something wich was not design to... but ok.
I use the SAK and find it better than quite a few I've tried. I would love to get my paws on a Silencerco Sparrow, but no import from USA afaik. Thanks for the videos. :)
Im pretty new to the design of a silencer but wouldn't a larger chamber for the gases to expand with vented ports at the front end angled away from the target be design to make for a quieter shot? Oh and the husher wouldn't be the best for stealth because of the shine.
im doing the same thing here, but cant buy a factory made silencer so i dont have anything to compare it to, but i did saw a video of yours, and im going to copy it and try to mix a gem tech silencer design, and your HMR suppressor
That husher looks as if it could be modified quite easily especially with another baffle at the 1st threaded section maybe? How much does the husher cost?
amazing design. bravo! what kind of lathe do you have. will a mini lathe 7x10 good enough to start with making this suppressor?

@isofaster Theory of course. The biggest problem will be attaching it to the barrel.
gunvidder 9 months ago
@floisy Not checked but as I have a few I really should try out different combo's.

@gunvidder might well be worth a shot, even just 1 extra chamber could make a huge difference in decibels registered..

I'll stick with the old fashioned silencer, simply to be a bit more universal with the title.

It would work but all mine are threaded directly onto the barrel.

Actually from the sound of your video, the one you've built is rather effective. With the lowest velocity ammo, it sounded like it beat the Husher.

BenjFeldia 1 year ago
@BenjFeldia This is not a custom made silencer.
gunvidder 1 year ago
Try to use sections from the other silencer with the original one at the same time.
That will give it more volume and will help cool down the gases and remove expansion.

how much did one of them cost in US currency???...
Thank You...

Not sure of the price as I got these in a deal from another shooter.

It's easy enough to cover up.
There would be no benifit gouing larger but extra ports may help.

Will those baffles affect the power of the pellets, it seems that there would be alot of air resistance going trough that silencer

Don't know the cost as I got these two in a deal.
They are now in the to modify pile.
Plenty of space to experiment with.
I might even just screw the two together.
