I like his harmonics so much...

He is just amazing.

He gets clear and amazing harmonics even when playing near the neck(you mostly can get these kind of clear harmonics only when playing next to the bridge!)

He is just awesome,and I wish I could learn his technique.

Many people don't like him because he sometimes plays really fast,I'm not such a big fan of it either,but when he does it,I just love it.

His right hand technique is really amazing,unique,and I hope I'll get to learn it some day!!

@carabata64 tienes toda la razon hermano te apoyo totalmente tener tecnica no lo es todo,pero como te dije,Bailey se me hace que aparte de tener tecnica tiene buen gusto musical,para mi linley marthe tiene menos direccion en un solo que steve bailey,y creo que junto con wooten cuando hizo el bass extremes hicieron muy buena musica juntos,alguien que no tiene gusto por mucha tecnica que tenga,no llega tan lejos como ha llegado este señor

por algo linley  toco en la banda de zawinul y wooten solo toca para bajistas... porque lo que hace musicalmente me parece muy pobre...aparte... que es llegar lejos ??? miles davis llego lejos, jaco, monk, jarrett, coltrane, hancock.. esos llegaron lejos !!!! de todas maneras el peor de todos es billy sheehan---- por cierto, soy batero y bajista pero mas batero que bajista, por eso lo puedo ver desde otro punto de vista tambien. y para cerrar:

Steve is one of this world's greats. I had the good fortune to hear and see Steve play on a daily basis during my time at GIT in '89-'90. Tone wise, he's one of a kind - unique and beautiful. Technically, he's light years ahead of most great players. But the real gift of Bailey's talent is his lyricism. You can't teach that, man. A player's either got it, or he/she does not.

I just don't think that anyone, not even the Great Dave LaRue can touch this guy.
