Circuit City was cool when they opened the central Bristol County store down by the Home Depot and Target 2 minutes away from the Galleria. I missed their isles of HDTVs and mid grade laptop with either XP Home SP2 or the full offer for Vista Home Basic RTM with no Fridge or Microwaves found anywhere in there. When the name looked to be forgotten forever, I also lost a 2 year service contract for a Limited Edition Slimline PS2 in like no fewer than 13 months.
i rember going to circuty city back in 1998 i belive it was somthing new at the time a sit to see i was amazed when they opened obe by me. kinna sad what they did to all the customers i guess things finnaly get caught up with them
It's true. I remember one opening up right down the street from where I lived in Bucktown. It was on Elston near Western ave. Used to be some high end store that I was in awe of seeing as a kid. It closed down about ten years later and a Home Depot opened up.
Nah. Handy Andy used to be where Microcenter was. In fact the Petsmart at the end of the strip mall used to be X-Tra, which was a Handy Andy store that sold furniture.

Yep...I remember when the store in Evergreen Park opened. It's closed now and they're closing a bunch of them.
