There are reasons to initiate a gradual withdrawal from Iraq, but the mere existence of body counts/casualty numbers is not one of them, as ReuWil already pointed out. In fact, an immediate withdrawal would lead to internecine massacres on a scale rivaling Rwanda, not to mention the divvying up of Iraq among various regional interests. We broke it; now we have to stick around until it's fixed.
