The weapon equalizer thing actually first appeared in MM6 (on the consoles anyway), and I was surprised you didn't get it in your LP of that game. You break a block with the rush power in Tomahawk Man's stage (taking the 'wrong' path if I remember correctly) and Protoman gives it to you.

The best way I've seen just from looking at your Lets play and watching Uranus movements is standing in the middle of the room with a Break Dash charged and ready. Being his jump would require a dash to get under and the weapon he is weak against is going to allow you to get hurt if you try to use it while he is against the wall. I suggest using it when he jumps to the other side of the room. Your A: immune to his damage from his jump and B: using his weakness in a rush that will not damage you

I know how you feel about not noticing the ladder on your first time. In MM1 first time I played bomb man's stage I didn't notice the first ladder and I got stuck for a while.

In that room where you get the jewel in Pluto's stage, there is a ladder you can use to get out in the top right corner. It's blended in with the ceiling.

Here's the trick.

Put rush near the pit fall then jump from there... you would reach the rotating floor then slide to the E tank.
