It's been so long since I've played Pokemon..(I stopped after Yellow) I just picked this up and got to the battle with Wally.. Anyways in the older versions of Pokemon it was always best to wait for the Pokemon to evolve since they would learn their stronger attacks much earlier on... I'm not sure if its the same in the newer games though, if it is then why not stop them from evolving?
