i don't think it's fair to compare evi with siri. Evi just came out recently and has alot of bugs to work out. i would give it more time.

I agree totally there, Siri is brilliant but iphone don't have much room for complacency here at all, this Evi has got enormous potential, once they sort out the server problem it's going to be very useful and plus when you consider the better cheaper price for android phones I think I can guess which most will prefer, I reckon the price for iphones at the moment is daylight robbery, it's very bearablity was mainly in Siri I reckon.

Evi is meant for people without the 4S considering how it is for iPhone as well. They are trying to fix the server problem and are working on the Weather feature. But it is pretty good compared to Siri. I don't have the 4S i have the 4G but Evi works just as well for me.

SVOX and the Victoria voice (U.K) sounds awsome on my phone.. her british accent makes it more authentic imo. PLus using it with GPS google Nav is better than that PIco TTS robotic sound.

For those looking for nice text-to-speech service try SVOX TTS or IVONA TTS- both are pretty slick & of which i think IVONA is still free (and in beta). SVOX is better IMO though.
