  • that bitch just needs to make a better coffee for god's sake... ...what is sexist about that...

  • Folgers; staunchly supporting the advancement of feminism everywhere

  • That's good she learned how to make good coffee, He almost had to back-hand her.

  • There is nothing wrong with this advert. Its a woman's responsibility to take care of her husband and do things for him while he works. He goes out at the office, its only fair she makes sure he is fed properly and that includes making things right, and not making shit coffee. Why should he make it, so she just sits around gossiping?

  • @CallumFreeman1 .,.. i REALLY hope you die single.

  • omg the 50s are so wrong - men arnt assholes like that! CORRECT response is

harvey: "its ok & besides it'll just be more useless dishes for you to wash, & i dont wanna put that burden on you"

woman: "oh harvey youre so thoughtful i love you"

Harvey: "hey only looking out for my number 1 & how to make her job easier than it already is "

woman: "oh harvey even on your birthday youre still selfless & looking out for others, im so lucky"

Harvey: "darn tootin' *winks smiles* then leaves

  • This coffee sucks! Our marriage is OVER!! D:<

  • if your wife's coffee is so horrible MAKE IT YOURSELF you whiny little bitch

  • Doesn't this dumb girl realize she should be spending all her time to satisfy her man?

  • Wow, that SOB. If I talked like that to my wife she would toss it in my face!

  • "You know, if I could just make a decent cup of coffee..." 1950's 'code' for "no orgasms at our house".

  • aahh the good old days

  • Doesn't mean he's going to stop sleeping with the girls from the office

  • "That's pretty harsh."

    "Well, so's your coffee."

    Boom, roasted.

  • I'd have slapped the taste out of his mouth.

  • I woulda' punched him right in the nose and told him to "TELL YOU SECRETARY TO MAKE YOUR COFFE FROM NOW ON"!

  • Wow, great coffee, just like I asked for! Next year I'm gonna ask for anal!

  • What if a guy tell the same to his male roommate? Would it be roomateist?

This is just bullshit attention whoring by crazy feminists

  • If she could only make a decent cup of coffee, all would be right with her world. No wonder any woman with half a brain would be offended by this portrayal of such a vacuous cunt.

  • It'd be funny if she spat into the coffee and he liked it even more.

  • dumb bitch cant make a cup of coffee. welcome to reality.

  • @zee something like this

Yo momma dis coffee is stank and oh ya baby I gonna fuck you tonight. Might sound racist but it is from a Redd Fox bit in the 70's

  • I wonder how that would have went with a black couple?

  • @zee339 Yo honnay dat coffee dah is trash... Huck Finn reference..

  • Why do republicans want to get back to "old America"? Oh yeah, because they are mostly a bunch of white guys.

  • so basically he kept his mouth shut for their entire marriage until she ASKED him what he wanted for his birthday. so he told her the truth. not something expensive she cant buy or something demeaning or sexual, but a nice cup of coffee...

  • I don't know what's funnier...the ad or the posted comments!! Guess I'll go with the comments! LOL

  • she finaly did her job, how is that sexist?

  • Next time... tell him to make his own F@&king coffee! If that were my husband, he'd get a boot to the head!

  • @njabatsis who the fuck would marry you?!

  • Bet Harvey didn't get the BJ he wanted lol

  • @ptcpaul haha!!

  • lol, what did they have to do to make coffee in those days? roast the beans?

  • This video is outrageous! It consciously mislead people into thinking instant coffee is drinkable.

  • that bitch needs to meet some stairs

  • @Zexerous

Two thumbs (and the stump) up!!!

  • Next time piss in his coffee women, he is not a fucking king.

  • Holy Shit!

That IS harsh! (Harsh as her outfit!)

    OHHHHHHH!

  • what the fuc is with him and coffee...ohhhhhh i get it coffee there word for sex

  • How's this sexist? She just happens to be the one buying and making the coffee.

  • well at least he's honest.

  • I think he's doing more to those women at work than drinking their coffee.

  • I wish thats all i had to worry about was coffie.

  • - Darling my coffee has a different taste today...

    - Ah, you noticed it? It's because I put Cyanide in it. Now die you asshole!

  • 0:28 she just so happened to have some folgers with her lol

  • @1tZn0TS34n It tastes so much better than fresh perked coffee, she carries a jar everywhere she goes!

  • @WasMilkABadChoice of course what was i thinking

  • Wait a second...what's she doing at out of the kitchen at 0:37?

  • Comment removed

  • Oh my god, you dear youtube users make laugh so hard. Thank you.

  • wow this guy's a bitch!

I think she took the coffee bitching too literatly.

  • GOOD AS FRESH PERKED?? I GOT GET MY ASS SOME INSTANT FOLGER'S

  • LOL, instant as good as fresh perked, he just wanted some nooky for his birthday!!!

  • Her coffee tastes like shit. Imagine how her twat tastes.

  • Am I the only one who thinks that this isn't really sexist?

So a stay at home wife isn't supposed to make coffee and no one can give her a hard time? Yeahsurewhatever.

  • enjoy you coffee laced with arsenic, harvey!

  • i love it.

  • "Honey, their coffee can't hold a candle to yours...but they do give better blowjobs."

  • So all I need is coffee to get laid?!?! Thanks Folgers! ;)

  • We all know that the secret to a happy marriage is the perfect cup of coffee.

  • or Create a video response

talk about desperate feminists have to dig something out of the 50's to comment on an ad where sexism is questionable at best; while completely ignoring the misandry-the norm for today's commericals- typical of a feminist .

  • the blond's EJ Peaker! she was Bobby Morse's wife in a 60's sitcom.

  • She served him crappy coffee because he has a 2" pecker.

  • @theraviolicat *facepalm* So bigger dick= better coffee? If that were the case I'd have handroasted pure Kenyan coffee hand-delivered to me by naked nubian slaves in gold cups every morning. But I don't. Perhaps she served bad coffee because she's not a great coffee-maker.

  • @trollsarevirgins LOL! Well said.

  • in 1993 Yale historian Joanne Meyerowitz proved that in addition to ads like this there were as many depictions of women as active & independent.

All ads have targets but why let pop artifacts devised by Mad men define yr understanding of the culture?

  • Coffee=Sex? What?

  • so...she just carries a jar of coffee around?

  • Tastes as good as fresh-perked? No, it doesn't.

  • @HighKingTurgon I drank it in the Army ..... it came in the old C-rations ..... you are soooo right, it doesn't.

  • if i were her, i would abuse the system, saying its the same coffee made with love and happiness and u know what they say, giving ur wife money will make the coffee taste fine!!

  • Fair play. If he can talk to her like, then she should be able say to her husband that unlike him the mailman always delivers.

  • I think a lot of you are missing the point with this commercial. It's not only the way he reacted to her cup of coffee, that makes the commercial sexist. It's the scene after when she's in the kitchen, talking like a Stepford wife with that empty look in her eyes, and stressed over making of cup of coffee as if that's the biggest concern she has in her life.

  • @shadowofslipknot555 It's sarcasm.

  • That is why I do not want to get married.:P

  • I once had a first husband that had to go to work early in the morning. I said, "wake me up so I can make your lunch before you go." He did so but, then yelled at me the whole time," Why you think you gotta make my lunch," the whole time I was making it. Needless to say I didn't make his lunch for him again. To this day it confuses me. What was he so mad about? Anyone have a clue?

  • @morepamdemonium probably being up early and having to deal with other people

  • @AgentCarter I think you may be on to something there.

  • @morepamdemonium well a lot of people are dicks when they are tired. i know i act like that when people are trying to help me with suitcases when im trying to catch an early flight. id guess thats it. but then again, i wasnt there and never knew the guy.

  • @morepamdemonium For me at least I HATE interacting with anyone when I first wake up and prefer eating breakfast alone without anyone talking to me. I sorta see the early mornings as me time to think about the day ahead. Maybe your ex was like that, or maybe he was just a pig? Who knows

  • @morepamdemonium Hmmm . . . maybe he felt your making his lunch meant he owed you something- he'd rather make it himself the way he liked it and not feel indebted to you than owe you something. Also, if he was "progressive" (how long ago was this husband?) he felt uncomfortable at your doing a sterotypically "woman" activity. That's my guess.

  • Well, at least they were in the kitchen. Women should be obscene and not heard.

  • @MalonsMilk Those were your parents.

  • @MalonsMilk

You are right. It should be a requirement for many western women to spend 6 months or so with the Taliban, making them coffee, cooking their meals and keeping their mouths shut. Oh, I forgot, also wearing the burkha just to learn to be submissive.

Then re-release them back into western society, with hopefully a more submissive nature.

  • @comanche661 If Harvey thinks that's going to solve his problems, wait till he gets a taste of some of the coffees some Arabs drink.

  • @Vydio You mean the mud they drink.

  • @comanche661 Hey it's not just Arabs ...... German coffee is pretty strong as well. But Harvey deserves it.

  • Why in the world would he kiss you goodbye? You have just ruined this poor man's coffee!

  • @mcrkid22 the real question is why would she want a kiss goodbye.

  • @morepamdemonium Well, Harvey is clearly a very attractive male.

  • 0:52 ahaaaaa

  • "It's instant Folger's! 2 scoops Columbian ground, 1 scoop arsenic, honey!"

  • HARSH!!!

  • These guys sure are being dicks about their coffee.

  • How is this sexist!? Maybe she just makes a shitty cup of coffee!

  • @xXHellkittiesXx Maybe if Harvey doesn't like it, he can learn how to make his own! "Whaaaaa, I don't like your coffee! Whaaaaaa, I drink it anyway! Whaaaaaa, I can't make it myself!" Like a baby! If he had any brains he'd have asked "the girls at the office" how to make it properly, take that exciting information back home, serve up great coffee for himself, and the wife too! He'd get soooooo much wifey smoo time for that! But no, that'd make no sense, would it?

  • @trollsarevirgins Wow. At least your not angry about it, lol.

  • @xXHellkittiesXx Whatevs. She's portrayed as a stupid woman who can't make a coffee, he's portrayed as a brainless baby. Sexist ad, yes; and both sides end up looking like fresh targets for the advertising predator.

I'm just so fucking tired of so many Men hating Women and so many Women hating Men. Really, I am OVER IT.

  • @trollsarevirgins And you'd be surprised how much hate mail I've recieved over my POV of this video by pissed off dudes who can't accept that women are no longer confined to the kitchen! The funny thing is, most of them are sent privately. They don't want to be shat upon publicly! Pussies. I'm sure not all men are this way, but there are a few redneck biggots that still roam the planet. And yes, if you don't like my coffee, learn to pour your own damn cup, you spineless fraction of a man!

  • @CuteMcBeauty I wouldn't be surprised at all, sister. There are more than a few bigots out there of both genders, both saying the same thing- "Oh, YOUR Gender never gets bad things happen to it, you're just being a crybaby! MY Gender, however, has had nothing but bad things happen to it, done by yOURS!" I say both genders have been royally screwed by the Powers in charge. Both, lots. Yeaaahhhh . . . I'm probably soapboxing a bit much here, *a-hem*.

  • @trollsarevirgins What the hell, are we both on YouTube looking for Folgers ads again? (LOL) Oh well . . . BTW - I agree 100% with your comment to Cute McBeauty. Cheers!

  • Yes folks, Harvey is indeed a dick.

  • Serve old Harvey a new pot of coffee tomorrow - over his head, without pouring it out of the pot! "Hey Harvey, you want some coffee? (BANG!!!!)"

  • Harvey must of been prescribed Viagra that afternoon, because he was in such a better mood when he got home.

  • @ilovebaconsandwiches No, it was the girls at the office ..... they make much better coffee. Of course, one wonders why he didn't marry one of them.

  • I notice that most of the "this is not sexist" comments come from guys who WISH they still had footslaves (wives) in the kitchen!! I'll tell you what's sexist about it: It's placing a woman in an ancient stereotype where it's her obligation to clean house, take care of kids, cook, wash and starch shirts, look nice and crisp as if nothing, and on top make perfect coffee. Sensitive? You would be too if people called you weaker sex and tried to have you tied to home and kitchen!

  • @CuteMcBeauty At least we are not plagued with the Monthly Drama that is. The Female Period

  • @DiSmEmBaR Well... you seem to forget that it was thanks to THAT monthly drama that you have a mother... Or si your momma butch?? I'm guessing your mom's NOT a woman, is she?? sorry, it... he... what, what'll it be?? Hahaha you boys seem to forget y'all come from a woman.

  • @CuteMcBeauty I was bore

im the woods to a Camel and a fish.. And they seemed to Educate me better then you o.O

  • @DiSmEmBaR WAHAHAHAHA you said WHAT?? Dude, it seems that whoever DID educate you did a TERRIBLE job!! HAHAH. You are bore!! (You maybe meant "I am bored) You are the woods (in the woods), to a camel and a fish? What fish? what camel? How idiotic can you be!! Ahh I'm sorry, you not speaken english, huh?? XD HAHAHAHAHAHA, no wonder!!

  • @CuteMcBeauty I am of Thai Nationality and i know 4 languages English my least strongest

  • @CuteMcBeauty no no no from your "Hahaha you boys seem to forget y'all come from a woman."

He meant He was born in the woods to a camel and a fish. And those parents seemed to educate him better than you. o_O

  • @lmcgregoruk A camel and a fish... does that even make any goddamned sense?? And if English is his "least strongest", he should think twice about trying to isnult a stranger merely for having an opinion in a language he doesn't even know well.

  • @CuteMcBeauty Also it makes guys look dumber than a bag of crap- they drink coffee they hate because they're incapable of working out how to pour boiling water onto beans! Nowadays ads don't dare suggest women are responsible for everything (well, not as much, anyway) but it's still a-ok to suggest men are incompetent babies.

  • So now complementing a woman is sexist too?

  • The guy made her day by saying her coffee was OK bless her, how is that sexist? :)

  • How is this sexist?

  • I see nothing here but an innocent coffee commercial. You girls are just being sensitive.

  • @scandlabra That wasn't spam!

  • I don't get what's sexist about it.

  • on 0:17 "You gonna pay for this BITCH...no, for this time you're safe"

  • Unbelievable, how sexist commercials used to be.. is it from the 1950s? Does someone know, when exactly it was aired?

  • @Katjusha27 my two of my ex's liked this old way of being treated they honestly believed in taking care of their man by cooking and doing laundry and cleaning the house and that all i should do is go work and pay the bills. apparently i didn't beat them enough. can't bring my self to do that. maybe i should.

  • @parsleysprigs No, no, don't do that. They didn't deserve to keep you if they wanted you to be a sexist moron. Chin up, man!

  • @trollsarevirgins I know, it's because they had confidence problems from they're past. It just sucks to know you love someone and they leave you for someone who doesn't know what love is because they can't handle being treated right.

  • @Katjusha27 If I had to guess, I'd say that this is from 1962 - 1964

  • This guy's actually handsome.

  • i think he should get off his ass and make his own cup of coffee lol

  • @Duggysgurl Then why is it there for? I mean the blonde-haired creature he calls wife?

  • @Imrankniazi this is for advertisement... in general he should get off his ass haha

  • @Duggysgurl Different people for different jobs. Men are for running the world - governments, finance, science and technology, army and other important stuff. Women can also contribute by being obedient to men and doing the domestic chores well. See, every creature has a role in this planet.

  • @Imrankniazi

I can't believe people are actually taking you seriously

  • @raggiedoll2008 Exactly..Neither can I :-)

  • @raggiedoll2008 Have you seen his profile page? An eyesore on so many levels.

  • @Imrankniazi Oh, is that you meant when you said what is it there for! I thought you meant his ass!

  • @Vydio Not much of a difference in most cases!

  • @Imrankniazi Which is why the good Lord gave Harvey two hands, which should enable him to make his own coffee.

  • @Vydio If Harvey has to make his own coffee, what is that worthless woman there for?

  • @Imrankniazi You'll have to ask him ..... maybe he should have remained single. Or gone gay.

  • @Vydio How do you "go" gay?

  • Where can I find a man like that...

  • what a dick

  • This isn't sexist.

  • I've got an idea what Harvey's wife can give him for his birthday, an appointment at an abuser program!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @landyachtfan79 An abuser program? For being a cock? SERIOUSLY? Those programs are for people who get BEATEN, screamed at, raped, belittled every day. If his wife nagged him every day to "get a better job, honey!" would you suggest she should be given an appointment at an abuser program too- as an abuser? To suggest this behaviour is enough for that program is to belittle the men and women who are seriously abused every year by their partner and need sheltering.

  • @andyandymax Agreed....he's a rude SOB who deserves scalding hot coffee down his pants, but I'm missing the sexism. He'd be just as disgusting if he were speaking that way to a man.

  • This man is cruel and insensitive, but I'm not sure he or the commercial are sexist.

  • well at least she had the right idea

make him happy ... or else

  • OMGOSH if i had a husband that talked to me like that he'd be dead. and I would just stop making him coffee. If I could have things perfect, I would really actually like to be like "awww you dont like it" and he'd be like "noo" with a pout face then something'd happen. but really i think i would just kill him. LOL true stuff.

  • @THEGLASSOFMILK2 You have extremely violent tendencies. This is why I believe that the mentally inferior gender should be restrained in power and closely monitored.

  • @Imrankniazi If I could I would DECAPITATE you, rip out your liver, mutilate your genitals and EAT YOUR BRAINS... and to a sexist boyfriend/husband I'd smack them in the back of the head with a frying pan, put on a big roast of coffee, grab them by their hair and stuff their head in a thing of hott coffee until their flesh burned off. I would chop them up into little pieces with great precision (that's what's great about us women being allowed to become doctors) and then EAT THEIR REMAINS.

  • @THEGLASSOFMILK2 Lol..aren't you an absolute delight? Must say that was quite a graphic description.

Way to go in emphasising the point I made. You are actually defeating your own case. Now get a man to explain that statement to you :-)

  • @Imrankniazi FURTHERMORE, I'd stuff YOUR remains in a freezer as for preservation, remove days later, wait until thawed, skin the body, (use skin as chair coverings), crush your bones, COOK YOUR BLOOD (MMM, black pudding anyone?), and burn your remaining organs in my fireplace... as a metaphorical way of rekindling the smoldering romantic feelings I once felt for a sexist (NOT)...

    emphasizing**

  • @THEGLASSOFMILK2 Wonderful... Keep going. You are on a roll here!

  • @Imrankniazi WELLLLLL,,, I was thinking about it, and also while you're alive I'd like to stitch up your arms and legs with unsanitary threads, and then RIP them off so your skin comes off with it. If that makes sense.

  • @THEGLASSOFMILK2 What would you do to a woman who regularly hit her husband completely unprovoked? About 1 in 5 cases of domestic abuse between men and women involve the female partner abusing the male. I'm not going to say it's even ratio, but there is a ratio. (BTW, I agree abusers deserve no mercy)

  • @trollsarevirgins Where do you get your stats? Wikipedia? LOL

  • @THEGLASSOFMILK2 I've heard a few different ones from different sources- I cannot quote sources on YouTube because of spam rules. Generally certain men's groups have said the figure is 50%, some surveys have said 30%, some have said 10%. Often surveys have been done that only ask women for their experience of violence- in 2009 in Australia a survey was done asking women but no funds were allocated to asking men. I inherently distrust such wildly fluctuating statistics . . .

  • @trollsarevirgins . . . so I go halfway between 40% and 10%. If you can find a survey where equal numbers of men to women were asked their experience of violence- or if there was a survey of how many men versus women were admitted to hospital with seeming partner-inflicted injuries- I would fully accept that stat. I however have not been able to find such an even survey. But if you want to reject that ratio and go with 1 in 10, that's fine. So I shall rephase the question for you. . .

  • @THEGLASSOFMILK2 Because basically the stats don't matter- they are in fact irrelevant. ONE battered or abused partner is too many. 1 in 2 being male, 1 in 3, 1 in 4, 1 in 5, 10, 20, whatever. I would just like to know what you would do to a woman who regularly hit her husband completely unprovoked. If you'd react differently just because she's a woman, you're no feminist. If you'd react the same way then you're rare indeed, capable of thinking for yourself. imrankniazi cannot. I hope you can.

  • @trollsarevirgins Well, if the woman was causing physical/mental damage, then that is JUST as wrong as when a man abuses a woman, (which is 5 billion times more likely). It's just a little odd when you say "hits a man" because usually one thinks of the much weaker sex smacking the guy, which usually doesn't cause any damage to him. But you're right - no matter the sex abuse is wrong...it's just it's rare you find a case of a woman abusing a man...

  • @THEGLASSOFMILK2 5 billion times more likely? hmm, I don't think that stat is close . . . but he, as I said, that's irrelevant. I applaud your straight answer. I would suggest women are NOT the weaker sex as much as imagined, though they are abused more (though I may be wrong in that second assertion). You've proven yourself capable of thinking for yourself, thank you.

  • @trollsarevirgins It's easier for women to emotionally abuse others than physically...this is verrry common among young girls.

  • @KittyKattyYukiLvr There's abuse on both sides, of course- women emotionally abuse more than physically, men the reverse. Gay or straight, male or female, black white yellow or green, abusers and abused come from all groups. As such, recognition that this abuse happens in all areas doesn't invalidate any other group's right to protection.

  • @trollsarevirgins No, of course not! I know it comes from every..it happens to be very common among girls, scary...but never would I deny that abuse comes to all groups.

  • @KittyKattyYukiLvr "never would I deny that abuse comes to all groups."- do you know how rare is your insight, that you can see this clearly? Welcome to the Brain-Users Club. *grins*
