On the Hitachi hoe in the begining, isnt that kinda of a small bucket for that? I know the bucket is larger then normal, im talking in relaton to the hoe.
American taxes building roads with foreign equipment. This is an issue. If you don't buy American made equipment you should not get the contract. Its about American jobs.
@assoonas1 No problem, just trying to help you out by correcting your mistake so you don't make one next time =D. Also, a lot of the time these "foreign" machines are cheaper than American ones allowing the contractor to bid at a lower price which means that the company can get more jobs keeping the employees working and making money to support their families. In addition to that, these machines are still bought from a local dealer and that gives the dealer business which keeps his company
running. AND when American manufacturers have other companies to compete with, they then try to make their products better, faster, and cheaper, which spurs on positive movement for the human race as a whole. When companies don't compete, nothing ever gets better because the customers have no choice of which company to pick.
@MotoScootMech From what I'm seeing the U.S. has been building much better products then they have in the past. The dollar has been very low for a long period of time so our products have been able to compete with anyone.
@assoonas1 You are absolutely right, I think that from this point forward, the US will start (and already has been for a year or so, its just a matter of those products getting out into the market) to make better quality and more competitively priced products. I hate all of the SHIT, and i mean SHIT, that was made in the 80's and 90's. The stupid fucking CEOs and owners of large companies that made cars, electronics, etc in the US were just greedy bastards that only wanted more money in their
@assoonas1 pocket, no matter how terrible the product got. Everything manufactured by the US from about '82 to '99 was the most worthless junk ever made, it in no way resembled the ingenuity and quality of products from the late-50's to the mid-70's. But Japan was the opposite and they showed all of the consumers what good products were and then consumers stopped buying the US crap. In addition to that, China could make US crap even crappier and cheaper so US consumers just about stopped
@assoonas1 buying US products all-together. Fortunately, i think we, the US, are back on the right track now thanks to competition from other countries (who knows how crappy things could have gotten without them). CEOs and owners are becoming more family oriented and businesses have started to care more about their customers again. At the same time mfg's have started to build innovative products again that emphasize quality as well. I have hopes for the future and plan to be a part of it =D.
@assoonas1 Sorry that we got off to the wrong start there assoonas1, feel free to debate me about this stuff, i love talking about it and learning new things.
@MotoScootMech I had a Prelude when I was younger. Best Car I ever owned. I agree with you. I agree i think the U.S. understands that they must build better quality product.
@assoonas1 Yeah Honda made a lot of really good stuff back then! I'm glad we helped Japan recover after we bombed the hell out of them in WW2. I only with the same were true certain countries like Laos although we have done a lot in helping the Middle East recover from the Iraq War. Though we did sort of start all of the problems in that region in the first place... Still i try to balance the good and the bad this country has done and i remain positive that things will continue to get better
I wish that they used those bottom dump on the trucks when I was in construction, I was a finish grade dozer guy for a long time, and I have spent endless hours knocking down 20 yard piles, hundreds of them......DOH
