@Raymint yes..i have euro truck simulator..which is the same but with a different map and similar truck and it actually takes like 10 minutes to get to one place or even longer.

The steering seems all over the place. The wheel literally jerks left and right half and full turns just to get you to keep on the road.

Real trucks are about gentle movement. Rag the steering wheel like that in real life and you'll be in a ditch by the side of the road.

@TheWOwse if u drive with f2 on which is the mirrors take them off there only for reversing tht normally delags it alot failing tht u may need to delete somespace off ur comp or adjust the settings

I have 1GB of RAM and can transfer some memory to make up for it (Vista) but apart from that i seem to have alright settings, I Think....for a 3and a half Year old pc anyway

got Intel Core 2 Duo E6300-1.86GHz, 256MB NIVIDIA GeForce 7100GS, 320GB HDD (of which 26GB is left :] ), 1GB DDR2 Memory.

Would someone tell me if these settings will be enough or will MY RAM bring it all down?

well, UK truck sim has a much better physics system that was overhauled from the ETS one. so UK truck sim has better handling, & sounds.

@chidragon60 There is euro truck simulator 2 coming somewhere around october and it has allot better graphic than any previous game,it also has a europe map 3 times bigger than in original ets...but concerning your question,i don't have uk truck sim but i do have ets,so i would say that you go for ets cause it has a HUGE amount of mods,maps and so on...And both uk and german truck sim have very,very little mods...just my opinion...

you can stop the lag by going on to configure and putting open with Open GL to Direct X it stops the lag

Or at Least it Decreases it a lot, and you can also do that and after that make the screen resolution down to 640x480, or lowest, if you have lower or higher, and that should make the lag decrease, but remember, decreasing the screen resolution may give crap graphics in the game.

What i hate is that in real life in the uk the roads have 3 lanes then a 4th lane for coming off the highway, but in this they make u use the 3rd lane for the exit junction.

in the pre-game options menu, change the OPENGL option to DirectX - it gets rid of a lot of lag, worked for me, now averaging around 30fps
