Quite honestly, the only hard part is getting to the heat seekers (first two rank ups) Then lock on and wait for them to be stupid enough to use their flare before you shoot then lock on again shoot 2 and they are dead!!! I know it's genius :DDDD

it's so hard to unlock things with the jets. i'm good with the helicopter but it seems like i always lose people with my jet fly away turn around and they're nowhere to be found or my spot has worn off and i have to respot them.

i shot a tank (as first jet kill) and i didn't got flares, 100 disable + 50 destroy + 100 enemy kill, you need 300 for IR flares, but nice vid ;d

I am new to flying jets and got the basics on how to fly, but damn it is hard to get a kill when every time i try to fly get shot by a heat seeking missile. I only got one kill so far and that was because i was still learning to fly and accidentally crashed and killed an enemy solider (kamikaze).

@Mcquiz91 I got my flares and heatseekers by playing conquest and getting kill assists. This doesn't happen a lot, but if an enemy jet goes up high enough, it will get really slow and won't be able to move. If they do that, chase them and you should be able to kill them with the main cannon. What platform are you on? I'm on PS3, and if you are, I'd be glad to help you get some unlocks.

@4petesSAKEiNEEDaUSER Sure! Until I can get on, however, try going kamikaze on them. Go into Conquest, and when you spot a tank, try to crash into it. It can be hard, but if you practice that, you can hopefully get your flares, and you'll be much better off with that.

I'v just got my third Service Star on Jets, And one thing i noticed is that the Rocket Pods that you were using here is almost useless. Its hard to control (on Console) and it has less damage than The Guided Missile. I always get the MVP ribbon by flying Jets on Operation FireStorm, Caspian Border and Kharg Island.

It's way lot easier to destroy all kind of vehicles with the machine gun, in 1 strafe run you can take out a tank, APC, anything.

hey guys. heres a simple way to upgrade ur jets. select the engineer class and equip anti tank mines

lay your mines wer you expect tanks to roll pass. now get into a jet and wait it out till a tank or buggy goes over it. ive upgraded my jets and heli this way

I think bf3 needs a tutorial mode or a Dog fight mode , where you fight computer jets. i dont know if you guys are familiar with warhawk but they have a tutorial mode where you can practice your jet skills. in my opinon i thinkg bf3 could use that.

this is only for people who are trying to rank up jets! If a better pilot jumps in and takes control of the skies you won't even be able to get in a jet....which is why i said take it out then shoot vehicles as they are easy targets until they are good enough to dogfight at the same time.

About the tank targeting though I always dont manage to use my gun on them because I feel like the jet is going to fast, all I can do is empty my rocket pods at them before I have to pull up or crash ( though I come at them from almost max altitude ), any ideas on how to deal with that?

Hey thanks! Yeah when you are diving down from max altitude make sure to hold down S if you are playing on the PC. Not sure what the controls are for consoles but just hold down the button that would make you slow down..make sure to slow down when diving to buy you more time in order NOT to crash!
