they're both drunk in this scene, but there has been unresolved tension, sexual and otherwise, between them since the beginning of the film. this is the culmination of such tensions -- when they finally let go of their teenage homophobia and embrace what's been lying beneath.

there is a rated R version and an unrated version. sadly there are people in the industry who feel some films need to be censored and i guess that's why there is a completely honest version and a scaled down one. : (
