This is not accurate friend. Other than similarities between the names they don't share a common history. Bakhtiari or Bakht Yar, means fortunate in Persian.

And maybe because persian is an Indo-european language we might have many common words with bulgaris. But bakhtiari means fortunate in PERSIAN. and bakhtiaris r the descents of cyrus the great. Thanks for clearing up the misconception persianshadow1. I'm half-Bakhtiari as well, and I have been researching like crazy about whether Bakhtiaris are Persian or their own separate group. My family says they are persian, but various demographics list them as a separate minority group.

i am a kurd and live in europe,i have read about the nation of old oran and intrested in the clasification of the lurs and bakhtiari tribes, in some book they are refered as kurds and in some as persian and some as a distinct seperate nation.

Bakhtiaris betrayed Sattar khan? Where do you get your histories from. Bakhtiaries were among the people who brought democracy in Iran with personalities like Sardar Asad. Even Mossadegh's father was a Bakhtiari. Reza Shah however executed many of the Bakhtiaries who fought for democracy.

Thanks for clearing up the misconception persianshadow1. I'm half-Bakhtiari as well, and I have been researching like crazy about whether Bakhtiaris are Persian or their own separate group. My family says they are persian, but various demographics list them as a separate minority group.

you are welcome my friend, actually i've read somewhere that bakhtiari people even saved from Alexander the great attack and never submitted to Greek rulers of Iran in that time, that's why i claim that bakhtiaris are one of the purest races, by the way i've been in the region once and in every single houses in bakhtiari you'll find a shahnameh, and they name their children after shahnameh heroes, you hardly can find quran or see them prayer Islamic way!

i am a kurd and live in europe,i have read about the nation of old oran and intrested in the clasification of the lurs and bakhtiari tribes, in some book they are refered as kurds and in some as persian and some as a distinct seperate nation.
as you seems to know about the two nation, i would be greatful if you can tell me about them.

my friend i am owner of this video (I'm using different ID now) any way i am halfbakhtiari. bakhtiaries are one of the purest Iranian tribe,lori andbakhtiari language or accent is much closer to persian than Kurdish, our faces are more persian, i don't know how come some Kurdish people say bakhtiari and lors are kurds! this song is very easy for a persian to understand, i don't think a kurd can understand this language.
