Hey can you tell me how to lay out flat colors, im just strating with photoshop and have understand about gradients and such, but cannot find the paintbucket or any of those tools.
How are you getting the size of the paintbrush to fluctuate so quickly while painting? Are you using one of those wacom tablets or whatever they're called, with the pressure-sensitivity? I can see how that would be useful. But without one of those, all I can do is adjust the size of the brush manually.
Why do the comics start out with the shadow colors and then go over with the lights? Do you find this easier to color than the other way around? Also, how do you pick what the shadow colors should be? Just experience?
A long time ago, I found some wonderful comic tutorials (2000 or 2001 or so) They were indispensable. Now there's a lot of very amateur stuff up, or just speed painting. I've never seen those old ones since, and it's hard for me to find good tutorials to give my colorists to push them in the right direction, it's great to see something of this fine a caliber available. Thank you for this. It is much appreciated and has saved me some exasperation, (me and my hair line thank you)

This one was just to test the software. I have another 3 part tutorial up. I'll probably be making another one this week.
