  • Im so incredibly proud of my husband and what he does but it hurts so much every time he walks out the door, much more when he leaves for weeks, months or years He is my rock and I dont know what I would do without him. This video shows just how hard it is being married to someone who is in the military. I pray all of the soldiers who are deployed return home safely and the ones who are supposed to be leaving have a speedy deployment. God is watching over all of them and is standing next to them

  • My husband and I have been married since 07-28-2010 he is currently serving in the US Army and we are on our first deployment, I can not watch this video without crying, but I know that I have to be strong for both of us, I may not be in the army but I serve in the silent ranks and I am PROUD of It HOOAH

  • This song is amazing. I don't feel I can ever put into words how I truly feel from day to day, but this song helps. This is our first deployment. When he came to me and asked to join while we were still engaged, I cringed, but knew it was his dream to follow in his family's footsteps. I agreed to let him sign and there are days I wish I hadn't when our children cry for him, when I cry for him or coming home to an empty bed. I am proud of my best-friend, my lover, my husband, my soldier, MY HERO!

  • Who in the hell disliked this? Do you have no heart?

  • @92yazzy u are right I'm 19 and prego with my first baby girl it hurts so much he's not here for our first baby but all I want is for him to come home safe

  • @pdortiz02 it does hurt alot im 17 and my husband has missed most of my pregnancy and we were for sure if he would even be there for whn our son is born but we were one of the lucky ones where hell b home in time for the birth

  • @soilderswife1 I am in the same boat. Im 16 weeks preg and hubby has been gone for 2 months. This is our 2nd deployment together. I am so proud of him everyday. Hes trying to make sure he can be here for our sons birth but we all know how the military is, so we just keep our fingers crossed.

  • my husband is deploying in two months. I am very proud of what he does, but ever since i met him I've been wanting for this day to never come. It has been hard to be separated from him every month. Been a Army wive is one thing, but been a 18year old Army wive is harder i think, we are not as strong as the older ones are. But we have to keep it together equally when they are far away for so long. i love this song...

  • My husband was deployed in 2003 and this song is the absolute truth. No one can understand what we go through except other wives. I am so proud of my husband and the day he came home I came alive again. I AM a Soldiers Wife.

  • My husband is on tour right now, its our first deployment, I miss him so much, this made me cry but isnt true

  • I love this song. Me and my husband have been married a year on March 24th. He is currently in Iraq and this song without a doupt is how I feel being the one left behind but the smile of our now 7 month old can brighten my darkest days...I love you baby and pray everyday for your safe return home. Thank you to all who serve!

  • i dated a soldier for about 6 months. he broke up with me though. i still support him in anyway possible. i have moved on but we are still good friends. i loved him and still have love for him as a good friend, thank you soldiers for everything your doing for our country!

  • Whoever these 2 dislikes are are heartless and don't understand what its like or can even fathom the loss and or the feeling of having someone fighting over seas and not home with you at night... All i have to say is GOD BLESS THIS WONDERFUL COUNTRY AND THANK YOU TO EVERY SINGLE PERSON OVER SEAS FIGHTING FOR EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US. THANK YOU.

  • @ specCd, Just wondering if you live in America and will be sleeping in a free person's bed tonight...

  • it is hard to understand the mentality of an American soldier murdering Iraqis, including Iraqi children who pretends a good husband and father in his own home.

  • That's my sister. The little boy eating the popsicle is my son. As you can tell, Roxie tried to include as many soldiers' families in this video. It's a shame it didn't do as well as we hoped. Incidentally, a portion of the proceeds from the song went to help the families of soldiers.

  • I've made it a week...now word. I just had to break down tonight....please pray for us.

  • Powerful! I have been there, my husband retired from 3rd Infantry after 22 years in & I am so thankful he came home safe, even if in many ways we will never be the same people, we love each other so deeply. We will never get that time apart back, but I would do it all again, I am so proud to have been a soldier's wife, Oh how I relate to all this song says. God bless our troops & their families, they serve there, we serve here.

  • i love it!!!

  • my wife cant listen to this without crying. this year i retire and ive never seen her so happy. she has a jar of jellybeans, with the number of days left matching the number of jelly beans. she eats one a day, we used to do this when i was deployed. now the end of the road is approaching, hope she can put up with me lol.

  • @MrRageSpawn thank you for serving our country sir. god bless you and your wife :)

  • I love the lyrics!!! My husband has been deployed for almost a yr now and thank god its almost over! Caring for our three children and keeping myself sane has NOT been easy!

  • Every time i hear tht song i remember his tour 2008 n it makes me cry...

...Just thinkin about tht he leaves agan in 2011 makes me sad n worried already.

I love tht song 2 bits-its like a mirror in ur soul.

I wish n pray tht nothings going 2 happen n i hope ill be not as alone thn last time coz 2 go through it alone is like a war with urself :(

2 any Soldier wife...try 2 keep ur heads up! <3 xxx

  • Very moving...military spouses have my respect and prayers every day. My hubby used to serve and I don't think I could handle deployments

  • I agree I like it. Many do not really know we serve too. We serve right along with them. You said it MommieAJ3 we are the silent ranks.

  • Dwolfrg I'm right there with you. I just sent my soldier off yesterday.

  • I just sent my husband off after a holiday break, hardest thing to do is say goodbye not knowing if you'll see them again, but I'm so proud of him for what he does.

  • My fiance has orders to deploy in Feb. My heart is already breaking at the thought of him so far away but i am so very PROUD of him. He is my hero! Come home safely, honey. i love You, and i can't wait to be a proud Soldier's wife.

  • I was a soldier's fiance and I still feel this pain when I think that in around 2 months he will be leaving his daughter, family and friends, to go to who knows where. I love you.... you know who you are.

  • my husband is on his first deployment just got out of ait anf being away from us for 8 months now he is gone again for anywhere from a year to 15 months. We found out right before he lefted i was pregnant now I am 15 weeks along with a 3 year old and a 1 year old at home. And when he gets back after a year we are looking at another year deployment. Its really hard but we are doing it.

  • My husband and I got married on 9/11/09 of this year, he has been deployed almost a yr now.. wont be home for a few more months. Being the wife of a soldier is one of the hardest things in life, especially having young children and them not understanding whats going on. I love you Jeffrey. be safe and come home soon!

  • i just wanted to tell you to hang in there. i'm hoping by now your husband is home and you are cherishing the time with him. i am currently going through the 3rd deployment with small kids that dont understand and a 4th is just over the horizon. you are a great woman for standing behind your husband. i promise its hard on him but just stay strong and you will make it through everything the military throws your way.

  • The hardest job in the military is not the infantry, convoy, escort, or police. They are merely the most dangerous. The hardest job is being the family. I thank my family for the now 18 years of support, as empty and shallow as the words make it sound. Its all I can give back to them.

  • @MrRageSpawn Those aren't empty or shallow words. they really do mean the world to us back at home! thank you for your service

  • my cousin is stationed in germany and i miss him very much he was there when i was born and im only 15 hes the one that used to help me with everything. i love you michael, i might not have a husband in there or anything but i love this song and i miss him with everything in my heart and Gog Bless The Sodiers

    happy 9-11

  • This song really touches me. My fiancee has been in iraq for about a year now. He comes back in December. When he was home for Rand R in May we conceived a child. I am currently about 16 weeks pregnant. I miss him with all my soul. But he is doing what he loves and i thank him and all the other members of the military. I love you Michael come home soon! Im A Soliders wife it makes me happy to be that

  • Quinny2cool- Mate I don't need you speaking for me thank you, I'm in the Royal Marines. If these people find it easier to live by posting here and listening to these songs then leave them in peace. Unfortunately You have shown that you know very little about what it's all about. I don't do these songs but my wife does, she finds some form of comfort here so I'm happy for her.Life is hard enough with a 2 Yr old without having to worry about me as well.True soldiers don't want you speaking 4 them.

  • You know...even the sodiers themselves willtell you that a wife with children has it harder at home than they do over there....I know.

  • I love you more than life itself mi amor!!! I'm proud of you papi..I'm a 100% soldier's wife..I miss u so much mi chubyyss dubi$...ya regresa que te extrano como no tienes idea .. love u with all my heart honey and I miss u..♥

  • this song is truth ...

  • Its sad to know that an YOUR army is only great bc they talk shit about others lol the army I KNOW is great bc OUR soldiers make it that way.But like i said bf, keep on saying what you want while u writte it, MY HUSBAND WILL KEEP ON FIGHTING FOR U TO BE ABLE TO DO SO HUNNY ;)

  • I'm a soldiers wife and damn proud, that punk who's running his suck below has no idea,so don't get worked up over what he is saying. We know the TRUTH and thats all that matters.

  • I dont feel sorry for myself i feel sorry for you, Beein a military wife is HARD i would love to see your sorry ass trying it. Tell a 3 year old why her daddy is missing 2 birthdays of her, tell an unborn child why his father wasnt there for his birth. I feel sorry for ppl like you, who dont know SHIT, who is prolly not even serving for reall , only making up lies to make themselfes feel better, keep on believing whatever u want, MY HUSBAND has beens erving 13 years for you to be able to do it.

  • you're a piece of shit asshole

  • AMEN to you. My son just got back from Iraq. He serves with Special Forces

  • I will pray for you...you are sorry and sick. You don't know anything about what us wives go through OR what our husband's go through. Are you even serving?

  • of course i am, how else would i know what pathetic soldiers the usa turns out. i just laugh at this video, nobody cares about the soldiers wife. like i said, boo hoo your missing your husband? what about the parents and friends. dont pray for me lol. im not sorry for anything. and sick im far from it. the words you read are pure rage! how many people will die for the americans pathetic cause?

dont sit home feeling sorry for yourself, send him sweets ect.

  • You are pathetic....I don't feel sorry for myself, I feel sorry for sorry ass soldiers like you who have nothing better to do than sit on their ass and talk shit about OUR soldiers who don't have time to sit on their asses, because they actually fight and care about their country....hence why MY HUSBAND is not on youtube talking shit about you. Say what you want to say, but I know the truth and that's all I care about. For the record, in AMERICA everyone cares about the wives :)

  • I have been married for almost 16 yrs and was in when I met my husband. He just re-enlisted for our last time. Now we are INDEF...which means it is now until retirement. Our first deployment came when my children were 1 and 2 yrs old. They are now 13 and 14 yrs old. Every time he leaves..... I miss him so much.

Thank you for this song. It is so true. God Bless OUR TROOPS!!

  • I've been married for 16 years and i can't even count in my finger how many times he deployed but one thing I learn when u married a soldier either it makes ur marriage strong or it make it weak in my case it makes our marriage strong and prove to myself that I do this for love..Love that will keep us together..trust and lots of understanding..that being married to him u have to loved what he love and thats for servung his country.God bless all the troops!

  • thank you for this song..*I am a soldiers wife* , this will be our first deployment, but we have been apart since November, and he will deploy in June. Baby I miss you so much, Stay strong and Faithful to God, he will guide you home. Always Faithful. I Love you.

  • This is the most amazing song I have heard. It is so true everyword. My fiance is deployed to Iraq he has been gone since September 07. We have a 6yr old daughter who asks the very difficult question of when is Daddy coming home. This song brought me to tears but as im sure any army wife knows isnt hard to do! God Bless our Troops!

  • I heard this song for the first in 06 when my husband was deployed to Iraq. Every word in the song is so true. Being a Soldiers Wife is the hardest job in the army regardless if they are gone for 2 weeks or 15 months. I was a mother of a 1 1/2 yr old and pregnant when he was gone the first time around. Thought that was hard but now its harder becuase they know daddy is away and ask all the time when will he be home. God Bless our troops and families. Thank you all for your support

  • God bless all of the soldiers wives, fighting their own battle here at home. Stay strong HOORAHH!! and to those trying to say hatefule things about Americans and soldiers or their wives shame on you!! May you never have to go through what we do.

  • so then why did you say you love this song???

  • ahh this made me cry... =( but I still love it!

  • this song still makes me cry! i love it, my husband was deployed sept of 06 and all of 2007! i missed him so much and this song spoke to me, cause someone finally understood what all of us wives went through! i pray for all the troops still fighting and the ones left behind waiting on their loved ones return! may god bless and keep them all safe! love the video!!

  • 47 days gone.... really missing my soldier. damn i miss him...........i love this song!

  • baby nov come soon.8 month..u know 322.560 mins and 245 red x in the calendar..im here for u. and wait a lifetime.. this song is so true....u wait and wait for one only call.....ome home and god keep him safe in iraq i need him @ home

    i love c

  • I love this song...God Bless America and God Bless the PHILIPPINES.

  • This is a wonderful song. So true to life. My brother in law has been to Iraq twice leaving behind my sister and their girls. My best friends hubby just left and she just found out they are having their second child. My cousin is there as well as another friend of mine. They all have kids and I hear how hard it is for them while their husbands are away. This song helps those who do not have loved ones over there try to understand what it is like for those who do.

  • this is my favorite song and i have a few more months befor my hubby heads to iraq again it sucks and no matter how many times he goes it gets harder and harder i listen to this song everyday whille hes at work lol good work roxie dean

  • I can't imagine what I am going to go through when my husband leaves for Iraq in July of 09

  • arent u the racist #@*#, british, american, canadian, it doesnt matter, u should support the troups worldwide and no one is any better than the other.

  • you could have some GD common decency for those men and women fighting and for the husben and wives who are left behind. your negative remark was verry inconciderate. but what can expect from some one who hides behind a royal family and dose not know what it takes to be called a FREE NATION I personaly liked the video and all it stands for.

  • ok rele WTF!?!?!?

ur fkn dumb as hell...ok u dont fkn noe wat the wives go thru...i may not personally b one but mii sister is n i plan on bein in the military myself...so u can seriously stfu!

  • ...ppl like u make me fkn sick to mii stomach...i cant bleve u actually spend time sitting there trying to hurt ppl...U r not an army wife...U dont noe wat these wives go thru!!!!!!....u have a husband that comes home everyday n sleeps beside u...they DONT!!! so where do u get off saying ANYTHING to them i mean rele how fkn ignorant can u be!?!?!?!

  • they go thru having to expect the worse...n have to live wit the thought of "wat if he doesnt make it home?"... ok so u needa leave AMERICA alone u dumb british BITCH!!!!

  • I love this song! Its been confirm that my husband will be going on his 2nd deployment to Iraq. It hurts alot & I'm already missing him. God bless our soldiers!

  • I love it.

It's so sad that some women married to soldiers don't know the true meaning of being a soldier's wife..but for those who do, like me - this song is for US, the silent ranks, and REAL soldier's wives!

God Bless our soldiers and our freedom they fight so hard for..I LOVE MY SOLDIER!

  • @MommieAJ3 How can you possibly say that?

I'm an army wife, granted my husband doesn't leave for a full year- but his job is no less dangerous, and the separation is no less difficult. I love my soldier as well. More than I could ever express in words- and he is the embodiment of my heart. Not to mention our friends, who are also deployed. They're family to me... they're all deployed right now. And I miss them dearly. Don't ever think one person has it easier than another.

  • @tsahv I think she was talking about those who spread their legs when hubby leaves....

  • My husband left to Iraq two days ago , i still didn't hear anythings from him yet, everynight i cloudn't even sleep, I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH , I LOVE IT , I LOVE IT !!!!!!

  • Wow I have goosebumps! I am a proud Canadian Solider's Wife and want to thank-you for such a wonderful song. We are all hoping for a fast safe return of all the soliders overseas.

  • I just wanted to say thanks for doing this song. I love it when our soldiers are honored, but sometimes people totally forget the wives left at home, and the fear we live with every single day. We are going through our first deployment, and it is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life, this song touches me deeply, thank you so much.

  • I absolute love this video!!!!! My husband is training now for his first deployment.. and I already know the pain in store!

  • I'm not a soldiers wife but have many young soldiers I have taken under my wing while stationed here in Watertown(Fort Drum)and when they are deployed or re-deployed I cry because I do not know if I will see them again, thankye for posting this song,it hits home!

  • Thank you so much for this song. It rings so true in my heart my husband will be leaving in a few months for his first tour in Iraq and I know it is going to be hard but I and still and will always be proud of our soilders and their wives.

  • I understand how you are feeling. My husband has been deployed since July, he's actually been gone since April but has just recently arrived in Iraq. It is tough, sometimes even a sad song makes you feel like someone knows what we are going through. All the wives and their spouses and families are in my prayers.

  • I am also the wife of a Canadian soldier deployed in Afghanistan. God Bless all our soldiers Canadian, American, British, and their families. May God keep them safe.

(I've never heard this song before...I need some tissues)

  • I am a Army wife of a Canadian Soldier. This song just fits so well. I'm in tears. It hard. What we go through, most people can never understand or imagine.

My hearts out to all the american and canadian troops and their families. Their families sacrifice just as much and are heroes to me.

If you don't stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them. May they all come home soon and safe.

  • my hunny is gone for the last 6 months of his 15 month deployment in iraq. i miss him so much. this is so true. god bless our troops and all their wives for serving too.

  • LOVE IT!!!!! Could not be said or sung any better. I am an Army wife. Tough, very tough job.

  • A very emotional song. My heart breaks for all of the Soldiers Families. My Son-N-Law is a Soldier and We Support All Of the Families and our heart breaks for all of you, as it does for our daughter and granddaughters. Always........

  • I'm the wife of a deployed soldier. He's in Afghanistan and he gets his 2 week R&R in July!! This song could have been written for my life. It just fits! Support our Troops!!

  • My husband is in Afghanistan too. He just went back after his R&R... hopefully we'll see him again in February. Tell your husband thank you.

  • sorry to ask but how long is your husbands tour? a wait untill feburary is very long, are the tours for american tours that long?

  • His tour is for one year starting on the day he got there. He was mobilized several months before that, and away preparing for mobilization a few months before that... he's already been gone more than 11 months.

  • I'm sorry to hear he is away for so long, my chap is away for 6 months. Stay strong and keep thinking of his return x x

  • I love this song it rings so true in so many military wives hearts and lives. My husband is gone on a fifteen month deployment. My kids miss him so much. and my son swears that when he gets big he's "going to war to fight for our freedom." This hurts but also makes me pround my 6 year old son understands "Duty".

  • I love this video and the song. Its the most honest thing I've heard in a while. I'm the wife of a soldier too and he is being deployed in less than a week. I'm petrified but this song gives me more than enough reason to keep my faith high.

  • she nails it. i can't believe how well she nails it.... i'm just glad that i'm not alone; and i'm not the only person that feels these ways and so i have proof, i am not going to die. i just miss my husband. semper fi.

  • I love the song makes me cry nearly everytime I see it have already got the cd we are on our second deployment and I am a soldier's wife !!

  • i just cried listening to the song. :( so true. anything thats says it on this song. my husband is currently deployed in Iraq since Oct. 2006. and its heartbreaking everyday but i love him so much. wish he'd be here already. :(

  • is he home now? LOL

  • Speaking as the wife of a soldier who is currently deployed, this is exactly what it's like. It feels good to know that someone understands.

  • Indeed, a very touching and emotional song to me. I am a soldier for 10 years between 1993 to 2003 and i understand how it feels on my wife when i am away serving for my country of Singapore. To all the great and loving wife of our allied American soldier, i salute you.

  • I have her signed copy of her CD. She came to Fort Bragg. I love her music! This song...It just reaches into the heart! Love it! :}

  • I'm soon to be a navy wife and i love this song

  • Wow I too am a military spouse and this songs rings true to all that we feel. Beautiful Thank you

  • i am a soldier's wife and i cried when i first heard this song. she expressed perfectly how it feels to be in this situation. thank you so much

  • diojones72 not just you this my first to hear that song I tear up and been married to a Military some times can be scary that your Hubby will one day got call to go. even typing makes me thinking and sad in the same times some times i don't like to think about it and I know my husband don't like to think about too.

  • Well done. Very touching images of small town America and the farewell/reunion scenes on the tarmac.

  • touching. true. Thank You. My heart and prayers go out to all of the soldiers wives. They have the hardest job.

  • Very poignant.
