Hide! So wonderful to see and hear you on a beach, and I agree with the others that the softness, the low volume and the slow tempo sets a lovely mood along with the waves and birds. Where is this beach? Please tell us, inquiring minds need to know!
I think the idea of recording outdoor is fantastic and you certainly captured a beautiful sound of wave...I would have loved to hear the piece played completely ad lib over the sound of the wave rather than excruciatingly slow and slightly loose bossanova...Also, I thought the sound of the wave could be pushed further back to bring out some of the subtleties in your playing.
i just couldn't do that way though, you know.. :-)
after swiming hours and just with one movie cam, the microphone was built-in and etc.
only one thing.. i know it's much slower than gilberto's or other famous recordings, but that was my interpretation to this song and i really wanted that way.
i like your playing! And i also know your other Corcovado version but that´s right, it is another atmosphere with this one, that makes me feel good! hope to see more of your works!

I love the sound of the rollers in the background.

I enjoyed the peaceful atomosphere which your guitar with the sound of waves and birds' singing had prodeced.
I want to go to Okinawa (It is still cold in Kanagawa).
helibossa 3 years ago
hi helibossa,
thank you for the comment.
well, okinawa might be cold on the beach right now. this one is recorded in summer time.
so as watching this one, it makes me "saudade" as well.
i like your play very much.

i think the low volume adds to the mood why everything has to be loud?
delfin96 3 years ago
great! this is one of my favourite songs, really liked the outdoor atmosphere. great idea :)
delfin96 3 years ago
hi delfin,
thank you for the comment.
yes this song is somehow happy and somehow sad. and birds, wave and everyone played in that feeling verry well.
akaminehidetoshi 3 years ago
yes jobim really is one of my favourite composers. do you play 'luiza' by him?
i love this piece. good to see you doing many artistic and adventurous things, the music lives in you brother
delfin96 3 years ago
luiza is another nice song. and jobim himself sang that. i haven't try it yet. maybe next song to practice.

hi shingetsu,
that's right, i have another version.
probably that one is better play, but without sounds of wave and birds singing...
that what this song should have.
thanks a lot
