  • haha, i don't understand why most people like Angel??!! what do most people have in common? lool

  • This sounds terrible like the name Angel is totally inappropriate for the scent.

  • The staying power alone is enough to get this, I love the contrast...the bottle is cute, light blue and silver, but what comes out is FAR from gentle and angelic! lol.

  • @BlushResponse1 You're right - hadn't thought of that: big contrast between bottle design and the smell!

  • ..."Thierry Mugler"

  • My grandmother gave me a tiny bottle of this fragrance when I was seventeen and at the time, I wasn't aware of it's cult status. I remember wearing it out one night and feeling like a $25 hooker from Harlem over the course of her ENTIRE night on the town with various Johns...and enjoying that feeling. I felt daring and indiscreet. It was too mature for me at that time, and I wasn't prepared for it, but it was a nice change of pace. I have never forgotten this scent or the name "Thierry Mugl

  • @FM897 Wowie - I'll bet Grandma didn't have that in mind when she gave you Angel!

  • I tried Angel. It smelled chemically at first...then it turned into chocolate and fruit...and then...a dark vanilla with a hint of Rhett Butler smokin' a cigar. And I'm a sucker for sexy scoundrel with a cigar. I'm keeping it !

  • @TheSophiebee1 "I'm a sucker for sexy scoundrel with a cigar" - that just trips right off the tongue!

  • This is my grandmother's favorite, which is kinda awesome. But for some reason, I break out into a rash when I try it. Needless to say, I avoid it.

  • I also get a weird sort of metallic-y feel to it when I first spray it....and then it disappears after a few hours. This is weird because I never got this a few months ago in the summer, when I first started wearing Angel. Also, every bottle/sample I've tried of it smells slightly different. Is Angel somehow particularly sensitive to seasonal temperature changes? I leave my bottle in a drawer, so it's not by the heater or ac or anything.

  • @pharoahofdreamers Storing your bottle in a drawer is a good method, particularly as the temp is stable. I don't know what might account for the metallicness that you don't notice on newer bottles, unless it's just an aspect of the juice changing as it gets older. It shouldn't change in less than a year, though...

  • omg I love both the perfume and cologne! :D It's probably always going to be my favorite. :]

  • It's a great perfume. I might say the best, ever. I have alot of knowledge consernig fragranses. And this is one of the best perfumes ever made. So what this (crazy) woman is talking about, dosn't make any sense to me.

  • after having womanity as a man i want to try this girl Mugler fragrances, what do you think of the me that use this?

  • I have a sample of this and I love it. I seem to like any fragrance with notes of vanilla and sandalwood. I am surprised though that you did not mention vanilla or sandalwood in this review. I had to google it to make sure that is what I was smelling. Are the descriptions on the internet wrong or did you just leave those out?

  • @vanillahybrid I focused on what dominated the smell for me.

  • I absolutely love Angel. What do you think about the new eau de toilette?

  • I have a funny Angel story:

I'm in a long distance relationship and Angel is the perfume I was wearing when I met my man so he associates it with me. Last week he really started to miss me so he took the little Angel sample I left with him and sprayed my pillow in the morning thinking that it would mellow out after eight hours. He goes to work, comes home that night and the scent hits him like a freight train the moment he opened the door to his apartment! Fortunately he adores the smell.

  • I stumbled upon this scent a friend gave it to me and it smells reallly good on me i mean when i first smelled it in the bottle i thought im going to hate this but i put it on and it smells amazing and i was quite surprised!:) I love it:)

  • I wear this one because of its staying power! I have a hard time getting fragrances to stay on me and project like Angel does! :)

  • @BlushResponse1 Angel is the queen of projection and staying power!

  • Hi Katie!

I just tried Angel too. I really like this perfume! Among those I've tried today (Alien, Angel, Love Chloe, and A*Men), I think this is the one I'd seriously consider buying.

The spicy patchouli in the drydown reminds me of Coromandel, although Angel takes a while to get to this phase.

  • @brianbarrtt Wow, have you had a BIG perfume day! I'm impressed that you could still smell Love, Chloe with all the competition from the Muglers.

  • @KatiePuckrikSmells I think the only reason I got a whiff of Love, Chloe was because I sprayed it on before Angel... After pulling the trigger on THAT bomb, everything else seems to smell of it. As for A*Men, the first few minutes were strange and almost unpleasant. It morphed into Angel in the drydown.

  • what sign of zodiac are you katie? don't know why am I so curious bout that... :)

  • @jasminutza I'm a Cancer.

  • i love love loveee angel i was 16 when i got it and i still cant leave it behind

  • @may9660260 It's a long-term love affair.

  • Oh, no wonder I love Angel--she's the Mom of all of my other favorite fragrances!!! You look absolutely stunning, Katie!! Hugs,~Marilyn

  • @Moonchimes Thank you, Marilyn. I'll bet Mom and her many children all smell divine on you!

  • Katie, you always look pretty but you look absolutely stunning w/ your hair up! What a sophisticated look! It really shows off your lovely neck & bone structure. Of course I dig your usual 'do, as well, (I am also a bangs gal). Just wanted to pay you the compliment. Random...I know. haha!

  • @iamcasihart Thanks for putting a little pep in my step with your nice compliment! My bones and I thank you.

  • eww.. this terrible excuse for a perfume called 'Angel' is not even comparable to Miss Dior Cherie.

  • Ur hair looks great in this one, love ur style!

  • @itmllc Thanks - appreciate your comment!

  • after she sat on it...OH SNAPP! lolz oprah from which series? her weight varies :p

  • @Greyskymorning395 Valid point...

  • LOL I love your sarcasm haha

  • Katie, this is the review of yours that I love the best! Crazy-Mum-excitement, reviewed-perfume-concordant styling, more-dramatic-than-Angel poetry in one review. How do you spell perfume? K-A-T-I-E!

  • @mertevenk Cool tribute, thanks! I like being celebrated with a cheer.

  • @billykesas Thanks!

  • I just discovered Angel (yes I'm a dude wearing a "women's" perfume (darn you marketing campagins!!!!!)).And I love it. This fragrance made me fall in love with patchouli; which I never really liked before. I thus decided to find another patchouli-heavy fragrance. The best one I found so far was Tom Ford's White Patchouli, but it is too grass-y. I wondered if any of y'all had any suggestions for a perfume that has the same Angel-dirt-smelling-dug-out-of-the-earth patchouli scent.

  • @augabe try A*men......it's Angel for men, haha. It's spicy and earthy, and a little sweet from tonka bean in the base.

  • @nycartist9 but is A*Men not another gourmand fragrance? Seeing as I already had one (Angel) I was looking for a FULL-THROTTLE-PATCHOULI-EXPLOSION-YOU-STINK-SO-MUCH-OF-ARMPIT-I-WONDER-WHEN-IS-THE-LAST-TIME-YOU-TOOK-A-SHOWER kinda perfume. hehe But I will give another try to A*Men. I have but a long time ago... thx for the idea (the obvious one is often the one we are oblivious to lol).

  • @augabe HAHHAHAHA. in that case- sniff some of the Tom Ford fragrances......some of them are tres dirty! : ) Noir de Noir and Bois Marocain especially.....whew! Or, you can go to a Whole Foods (if you are in the USA) of head shop/organic market and buy a pure perfume oil. I got Nag Champa there and an Indian Rose Oil. They are cheap and potent! : )

  • @nycartist9 unfortunately i dont live in the usa and dont have access to wholefoods but ill check for pure perfume oils (never considered that). today i got my and on A*Men, and loved it (its a certain future purchased, but more becuase of the "spiciness" than the "patchouliness"). And I also discovered that we had a L'Artisan Parfumeur counter in my city, so I RUSHED there. i tried a couple. and kinda liked "patchouli patch". btw misskatiepuckrik how about giving a go for other l'A.P. items? ;)

  • @augabe Oooh, I love so many L'Artisan Parfumeur offerings! I've got a video review of Dzing!, and reviews of Nuit de Tubereuse and many others on my blog. I want to do a video for Safran Troublant soon.

  • @KatiePuckrikSmells I just watched your perfume collection videosssssssss (there were a LOT of them). And just realized that you have been talking about l'Artisan Perfumeur in a lot of previous videos hehe (the valentine's day video as well).

  • @KatiePuckrikSmells I just watched your perfume collection videosssssssss (there were a LOT of them). And just realized that you have been talking about l'Artisan Perfumeur in a lot of previous videos hehe (the valentine's day video as well).

  • I adore Angel. It's my favorite and strangely just doesn't adhere to my skin (yes I've asked others because I know after a while you can't smell yourself anymore so I may not have been the best judge.) It adheres to my clothes, but not me. I understand that very sophisticated people are supposed to hate it, but I love it. I'm also giving our lovely host the benefit of the doubt and saying her hair style was an expression of how weird Angel can be. Rather than that she's simply..insane.

  • @june7rose That is truly odd that Angel doesn't register on your skin, given its reputation to cling till the cows come home. I think any bad rep Angel may have is due to its interplanetary power.

I like your theory that I'm expressing Angel's persona with my styling, but I must claim all credit for any insanity.

  • I agree with the "sweaty armpit" bit when you first put it on. I can't stand it for about an hour after I put it on but then.. it turns into something absolutely gorgeous and it really does just last and last on the skin.

  • I second a review for Organza!!!

  • @charlottesmom I'll look into that one. I've just discovered the joys of Organza Indecence.

  • I LOVE ANGEL!!!!!

  • Okay, this is gonna sound strange, but I wear this when I'm volunteering at the natural history museum. Nothing compliments decomp, mummy dust and mothballs like...Angel. And I'm saying that in an excellent way. :)

  • I love your reviews. I'm sort of new to the niche stuff, but Angel was mentioned so frequently in blogs and reviews, and because I do like sweeter scents (e.g. Joop, Jaipur), I bought this at Macy's, but I also had a decanter to try out. It's just so thick-- the first time I felt overwhelmed by it, but when friends tried it-- it smells very different, even just spraying it. I've tried it a 2nd time and used less, and it's nicer. But I'm debating returning my unopened bottle.

  • "What do you think of of Organza by givenchy/'?

  • @jeniferex I need to hunker down with that one and do proper review. It's been a while since I smelled it.

  • Angel smells so violent, someone could actually attacked you in the morning in the train.

  • @jeniferex Angel wearers just might be asking for trouble....

  • You're very hot Katie.

  • hhaahahah you say that you smell!!

  • The sweaty armpit niff I could smell the whole time, I'm so disappointed!

  • @AnneLien1987 Sometimes, once you key into a certain aspect of a perfume, it becomes all you can smell. For me, it's the burnt hair I smell in Gucci Flora.

  • Headache in a bottle you mean. Awful scent!

  • love hate relationship with this lol! one day i love it and smells really great and other days it just smells fusty lol! its not what i would call a fresh smell lol! but it still will always be a favourite of mine ; )

  • I HATED Angel the first 2 times I tried it, it reeked of patchouli and only patchouli on me, I never got any of the good notes. i gave it one more try a week ago and loved it, I think the key is to apply Lightly! I also think chemistry plays a huge part in Angel working on your skin or not. My husband's opinion was "it smells clean" high praise indeed ;0) i'll probably never get a big bottle just samples because this is not an everyday fume for me...

  • angel smells sooo good but it only works on certain people :)

  • this is too weird for me...and quite creepy might I add

  • For anyone that does like this, I'm giving some away. Theres a video on my channel page

  • I love Angel.....

  • Guaranteed to give asthmatic's an attack and mostly worn by woman over 50, says it all really. oh and there are supposedly other health issues connected to this product that the manufacturers are hiding.

  • Angel gags me! Seriously, I thought "why did I pay $100.00 for this perfume that smells like a dirty toilet with Pinesol in it?"

  • @MsJgreen77 Sounds like you're standing firm on your antipathy for Angel.

  • @MsJgreen77

Yeah, it's very overwhelming to wear, but when others use it, it's different. And this stuff NEVER wears off. Last night I tried some on, and then this AM when I put my jacket on to go outside, I could still smell a hint of it on the fabric. And it's just too rich to smell that first thing in the morning ;)

  • yo, i bought this for my mum today for christmas, shes 55 yrs old, was it a good choice? She usually wears armani code but she said she wanted something different!

I love your personality btw, very refreshing! :)

  • @chib2 I think she might really like this - Armani Code is already in that sweet/woody family, and Angel takes that and amps it up. Good choice, and she'll love the bottle, too.

  • @caitlinsLAchannel Haven't done a side by side with FN and D&G10, but I always think of D&G10 as a low-cal Angel, and I can imagine that there's overlap with FN's musky vanilla sweetness, too.

  • what's the difference between the original Angel and the Angel Sunessence?

  • @xXxBrokenGlassxXx I haven't tried the Sunessence, so I can't comment. Can anyone else compare the two?

  • @KatiePuckrikSmells the 2011 Sunessence is kumquat, sea flower blossom and a similar but much diluted base than Angel. It's about a third of the strength. Think "Angel extra light at the beach" It's fresher, warmer and less sweet with a hint of floral. : )

  • what was oliver reed like?

  • @nE1canC1 Drunk.

  • @KatiePuckrikSmells Lol, thanks for the reply.

  • FAvorite Fragrence Ever

  • I love this perfume! I will be buying a bottle to wear and celebrate once my sex change is complete.

  • Dear Katie, can guys wear the original Angel? I've smelled it and I think I can pull it off... It's basically the sweetest patchouli I've smelled.

  • @brianbarrtt I don't see why not - there's not a huge difference between Angel and A-men, anyway...

  • When I was a kid I used to love watching you on The Word. How is it possible you look younger and hotter now? Good genes, good diet or you sleep in some cryostasis machine? I reckon its the cryo machine.

  • @MJRazza Mom and Dad certainly did their part with the genes, but I have to give a bit of credit to the cryostasis machine.

  • I wear ANGEL for women, it works on my body. Reminds me of White Chocolate, just a spritz...and I love the body cream, and the dusting powder.

  • @ScreamingPanda57 Angel has the best and most thorough line of scented hair and body products of any fragrance. All their products smell really true to the perfume.

  • oh how we laughed. what an irritating arrogant person you are!

  • @SuperVrum Always good to bring laughter into the world.

  • you look really goo with your hair up & high like that!

  • @wholemilk89 Thank you!

  • love your reviews! what do you think of flower by kenzo? and have you smelled the new gucci guilty? would appreciate your input thanks!

  • @Lisa753 I've got a review up of Kenzo Flower, so you can check it out. I think it's beautiful and unique. I'm not crazy about Gucci Guilty - smells very unsophisticated and "blah" fruity.

  • @KatiePuckrikSmells thanks for replying!! i can't wait for the review i really like flower by kenzo but i i don't feel right about it until i watch you explain it lol. :)

  • My advice is to be extra careful when applying Angel. Instead of spraying on yourself, spray it in the air and walk through it: it's more subtle and you have an even distribution. Or get the perfumed cream (cream! not lotion, the one that comes in a glittery pot), it lasts longer than lotion. I recently got the solid perfume (that comes in a star ring): it's very soft and subtle, and the ring is drop dead gorgeous. Hats off to Mugler for creating aesthetically pleasing objects :D

  • @LittleSeta LOVE the packaging with the Angel line!

  • @LittleSeta misting Angel into the air and walking through it is exactly the way it's supposed to be applied. : ) It's much softer that way.

  • Gorgeous at the beginning, pretty at the center, playful at the end and sexy all the way through! And The perfume isn't bad either.

  • how do you spell drama?

  • WTF! Now I want to buy a mini of this! I just bought black orchid! Stop brainwashing me with strange smelling yet pleasing perfumes! I don't wan to run out of money. =/

  • @littlerayray77 Well, if you keep offering me your frontal lobe, I will keep washing it. That's just how it works around here.

  • @KatiePuckrikSmells ...haha

  • For years I admired others who could wear this. Tried it several times and until recently couldn't wear it. I'm on my third bottle. This is the ONLY scent I've ever gotten complilments on and I've been wearing fragrances for about 34 years. The scent can vary from spary to spray and I understand the intense distain is you smell a lot of the cumin, it can be horrible.

  • I really like this perfume!! I have a perfume fettish (drawr full) of different scents!

  • Angel is the most vile nasty perfume I ever had the misfortune of smelling. This is supposed to be a gourmand fragrance that smells like chocolate, vanilla, caramel, etc. I swear to god it smells like gasoline and rotting body odor. Its horrific. The thing is it doesn't smell good on ANYONE, yet people love it and I don't get it. This scent is so strong some lady was wearing it across the room from me and it landed in my hair!!! People who wear angel need to live on their own angel island.

  • @dial800whocares Haha, "Angel Island"! Right next to the leper's colony!

  • @KatiePuckrikSmells I just read out your comment to my husband J and he says he agrees with you.

  • @cherrypop7160 Haha! It is amazing. It's just powerful stuff, is all.

  • Lookin FOXY Ms. Puckrik!

QUESTION! Whats your thoughts on body sprays?

  • @TrueTydin Body sprays are the "starter drug" for people just venturing into the world of perfume. They have low concentrations of perfume oil, and are typically made on the same budget as cleaning products. If you're truly interested in fine fragrance, you're better off buying a small bottle of the real stuff, which will smell better and last much longer on the skin than a body spray.

  • THANK YOU so much for this! I was going to buy this online blindly. I think not!

  • just recently got this parfume, and omg i felt slightly gaggy in the back of my throat. it actually stunk, which left me regretful for the purchase..but about 15 min later it developed and it sme l ls kind of good now...but i can't fully like it after fee ls gaggy.

  • @ChannelHMC Sounds like Angel took you on a rollercoaster ride.

  • @KatiePuckrikSmells it def did! i dread spritzing it for the immediate unpleasant "stink" that makes the back of my throat feel ill, but i look forward and almost crave the developed result of this parfume. very strange indeed. I hope that over time the first spray will not result in the physcial reaction i get now, as i want to like it.

  • @ChannelHMC Oh! I have an idea for you: you might prefer the Angel Perfuming Body Oil, which smells softer and loses that initial harsh "attack" of the perfume. Also, Angel Innocent is a beautiful, softer version of the original Angel.

  • i like your hair... how did you do it? and how long did it take haha

  • @BrownHairCutiee Didn't take long: sectioned off a triangle from crown of head to temples, put a bit of product in it, twisted it into a pouf and secured with 2 bobby pins. The rest is in a ponytail in the back.

  • @KatiePuckrikSmells okay ill try that :) it probably wont work though!

  • @mickmickmkup545 No, this isn't a hate situation, more like "it's fine in small doses".

  • I have always loathed this perfume and I have no idea why it is so popular. It was made worse by the fact that my best friend used to wear it all the time. I remember suffering the smell of this off her on a long car journey one time and I felt physically sick at the end of it. Luckily for me her new boyfriend has just told her he can't stand it ! She is now experimenting with different fragrances but frankly anything is better than this shit.

  • @meanz19 Fragrances like Angel, Giorgio and Poison have done more than their fair share of scaring "civilians" off of perfume forever, because people who wear these strong scents don't fully appreciate that they're TNT in a bottle - power-wise!

Angel can be lovely in reasonable amounts, but it's gas-mask time when people use more than spritz or 2.

  • @KatiePuckrikSmells You are so right it did put me off wearing any perfume at all for a while, I guess I just prefer a scent that is a lot more subtle than this. I could imagine someone like Katie Price wearing this as it is just so " in your face " ( no disrespect to Ms. Price ). Sometimes Angel reminds me of cheap overpowering mens aftershave as it is not a particularly girly scent . . P.S. I am really enjoying the perfume reviews Katie as you make them genuinely entertaining.

  • Ugh, I absolutely do not like this perfume. It's way too "loud".

  • I found Chopard Wish is more tasteful than Angel.

  • Can you review red jeans by versace pls :)

  • Oh My Goodness Katie, on the theme of Thierry Mugler, have you smelled Angel Sunessence?? It is the most GORGEOUS scent ever <3

I have fallen in love with it 0___0

  • In fact, Sunessence almost starts out how Angel smells 10 hours after you put it on, so you don't have to deal with the "yikes" beforehand.

  • @Tikka40 Now that is good information!

  • the best and the most down to the point review of the “Angel” ever : )

  • @martinbastien I appreciate that!

  • pretty cool

  • Angel is the worst perfume I've ever emelled and that I continiously have to smell because other people wear it.

  • Katie you look like a delicious French dessert in this review and your choice of words, sublime.

  • hi miss Katie, can you review flowerbomb by Victor & Rolfe? :)

  • @missmona17 Got a lot of requests for that one - I'll review it soon.

  • @KatiePuckrikSmells Thanks, dear! :)

  • I don't like angel... It smells like an angel threw up on me, or it smells like my grandma after a workout

  • @waterhugbunny Lol - Keepin' Fit with Granny!

  • I love this scent. It works perfectly with my body chemistry. However, I have friends that have tried to wear it and it just didn't smell as good on them. I am sure that we have all had this experience with fragrances.

This is the one fragrance that people continually compliment me on, both men and women alike, whenever I wear it, this and Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle eau de toilette version (I prefer it to the eau de parfum).

  • LOVES "ANGEL"...for someone who had a hard time finding fragrances that lasts longer than 5 hrs, angel is a "saviour" lol.

  • @BlushResponse1 My goodness, Angel will be your loyal friend for DAYS, if you let it!

  • Esta tia esta zumbada.

  • @jvhdesign Ha-ha! iGoogle translated this as "This aunt is buzzing".

  • What do you think about Flowerbomb?

  • @aftakiduk Giving a think on it now - am working on a review of it - will have it up before too much longer, I hope!

  • @KatiePuckrikSmells Thank you. I am waiting excited!

  • noone ever described Angel like you do!! You're spot on.

  • @saddlerackcowgirl Glad our noses are aligned.

  • Would you ever make a video on Thierry Mugler Alien? :)

  • @diorain I've been getting loads for requests for that, so I will at some point.

  • This fragrance has a hermaphrodictic quality, which makes sense since angels are neither male or female.

  • @sabrinasjourney Interesting perspective! I agree that Angel is butch and girly girly at the same time.

  • I think this is the perfume that's been making me want to push people off the subway platform in nyc. :)

  • @plutosbitch Oh! So you're the one we've been hearing about in the news...;-)

  • Someone can help me ? !

I search the first pub with Jerry Hall for the parfum of Thierry Mugler 's parfum : ANGEL !

It's on a music of J-S- Bach... in a desert ! Very beautiful

    Thank's a lot

  • I don't know why so many like this one, I can't stand angel! So strong and so nauseating.

  • @Sizz13 Everyone has seems to have different "volume settings" on their nose.

  • i looooooooooooooove angel it is by far my favorite perfume!!

  • @2sweetandsexy Angel really is a meal in a bottle. It just fills you up. Have you tried the gazillion Angel hair/hand/body products? All they need is an Angel shoe polish, and the line would be complete - tee-hee!

  • @KatiePuckrikSmells i have EVERYTHING ANGEL... agreed shoe polish would complete it! i just bought a 2nd purse travel bottle of the angel, just in case b.c i know it won't be available long!!! i love the fact that are re-fillable, but i remember when only high ends dept stores carried it, was a pain to get it filled!!! now it's even at CVS :D def more convenient

  • supercool katie!

  • Hi! love ur review! actually im on a research about perfume and my research this time is angel perfume.

could you give me a written detailed review? thanks before!

    CHEERS!
