I've used this set up asw ell. Trick to the middle tie off is a ball of twine (any garden centre). Tie one end to tarp eyelet, throw the ball over a branch, and tie off. Simples. By the way get a ball of hemp twine, you can unpick half a meter or so to make a cracking ball of tinder that takes a spark easily.
LOVE IT SO MUCH, i was going to buy the hilleberg akto a very exspensive tent worth £400+, im buying an army tarp, thanksgreat set up ! the best on here!!
That's an awesome setup.....thanks for sharing....I've just received my first tarp today..can't wait to try it out now. Even the GF is semi convinced we can make it usable after watching this..lol
i couldn't sleep on the ground again after getting into hammocking...but i have been places with no good trees to use. This is a great set up! thanks!

Hi there. That really is a great set up you've got there buddy, I'm really impressed with that. Were you using the 3 x 3m DD tarp or the 3 x 4.5m??
desduddy 11 months ago
@desduddy Thanks for the comment, 3x4.5, not a lot of weight difference so may as well have the extra cover. Al
