Can you put up tutorials on how to draw like this for begginers :) thanks cuz i rlly wana learn this but dont know what to search i search cartoon and its not like this this is more detailed thanks man :)
@nate18871 Just keep practicing and sketching. Also there are a bunch of good books out there. 'How to draw comics the marvel way' for example is good for beginners...see if you can take some figure drawing classes as well.
Hi, do you recommend getting a Cintiq? I have a Bamboo, but I find it takes a bit of getting used to because you're drawing on one surface and having it appear on another. I love comics/ graphic novels as an artform.
@howva Well, there is a bit of a price-difference which is why I worked with an Intuos for years, but yes absolutely I recommend the Cintiq as the top professional tool.
hi .. my sketchbook pro doesnt work correctley .. when i want to use my pensil it doenst show me where my pen is if you know what i mean .. i only see a really small dot while when i look at your vid i see a cross where you draw .. do you have a sollution for me?
@dropj3 Sounds like you have to calibrate your tablet in your Wacom settings. As far as the cross hair this is in the preferences and general settings of each individual program.
@KiDD275 I don't know why but I don't like drawing in Photoshop at all. I find the pens and brushes very unresponsive. I always draw either in Sketchbook, Painter or Illustrator. However I use Photoshop a lot for everything else from coloring to color correction, it's a fantastic program. Just not for drawing (in my opinion).
hey idmars10 . i have a macbook too, getting sketchbook pro, but dont have a tablet. was wondering what kind you use and what would be a nice cheap one. info would really help me..thanks.
@MrPleasethink Hi Mr. Pleasethink. I have used various tablets over the years, always from the company Wacom. I have a small ruby one that I carry around in my laptop bag, I had several Intuos models all of which I think are excellent and I would highly recommend. Currently I mainly work with a tablet-screen where I can draw directly on the monitor - the Wacom Cintiq 21UX. A somewhat hefty investment but for a professional it is well worth it.
Respond to this video...YEs as a cartoonist I choose to draw cartoon style but as an illustrator I work in many different styles including 'realistic.
@drakenkorin404 in my opinion, comic art ist pretty much cooler than realistic, i like realistic too, but my favorite is comci, becuse its very fast to draw, and you can draw so humourus figures, and there are soooo much different comic ways, you can create your own figures, and your own technique, and thats, i like in comic art, ...
Whoa - nice software, great work. I'm not a Mac person, but regardless, could you please recommend a "beginner's" setup (not the most expensive) appropriate for my super-artistic 9-year-old daughter to begin her digital art experience? Mac/Tablet/Pen or whatever? Thank you!
@MorningSidekick Thank you very much. Hmmmm. The beginner's setup for a 9 year old - that's a bit tough. If you're already on PC then you can certainly work with that. Yes I recommend a small Wacom tablet, maybe a Bamboo to begin with. Program wise I would say Corel Painter light or SketchBook Pro. My daughter really likes Painter. If you are planning on buying her her own computer I would recommend a MacBook (used/refurbished).
@cornernfuck7 Thank you! No. Not really. I have used many kinds of tablets over the years. I used to carry the little ruby one around in my laptop bag. I had several generations of Intuos as well. I find that pretty much all Wacom tablets and the Wacom software work very well once you are used to them. I am sure there are other good tablets by other manufacturers out there but I have never tried them.
I really like the drawing and it is cooler that it is in real time. I have the same program but I have never seen that type of color wheel before I checked an mine said 2010. Is that a plugin or something.
It is one of the royalty-free music clips that youtube offers for to use when you upload a video. I don't remember the title but you should be able to find it there.
I have Corel Painter 11. I know Painter may offer more but what advantages does this program offer. It's not a bad price either, around 100 bucks compared to the $400 of Painter. Is this compatible with PS and Painter?
I use all of them. I import my rough sketches from Sketchbook into Painter and PS for final art. The advantage? I prefer the feel and look of the pencil and marker sketching in Sketchbook. The pencils in Painter and the brushes in PS in general don't have an authentic drawing feel to me. They are compatible - SketchBook writes layered TIFF files (or JPG and others of course).
I been searching for the same information. I received my Intuos4 last week. When I ordered it last Monday I ordered sketchbook pro with it. I didn't realize until I got that Corel Sketchpad could be upgraded starting at $100. So now I have Painter 11 through the upgrade which is program I wanted in the first place, and was thinking of returning Sketchbook Pro. I'm just looking around now to see if I should Pro or not.
look up "wacom drawing tablets" online. they are just what they sound like: flat tablets with a surface that you press on with a pen that is provided with the tablet, and when the pen gets close to the pad, you can look up at the screen and see the cursor moving. more expensive versions are actual screens that you draw directly on with the pen. hope that helps you out.
I just thought I'd share this with people:
Anytime I watch a sketching video with music I don't like or no music at all, I mute the video and play this one on a separate tab:

Pen and paper are still the way to go. Cintiq second....and way down the line, an Intuos. Intuous are great for texture creation and the like.
