  • Sergey M. Lyapunov composed the "Hashish Oriental Symphonic Poem", a work written on exactly the same lines of Balakirev's Tamara.

  • @davidrocha0588 Now there's an interesting title! Are there any recordings of this?

  • @PatMcHugh Yes, there is only one recording conducted by Evgeny Svetlanov (USSR SO) in the whole music world, unfortunently it's very hard to find on CD, I know this work because I've heard it on a website (Search on Google for "Lyapunov Hashish", it's somewhere on the results).

  • Although, volume does improve later in piece.

  • An outstanding piece, though it would have been better had it been put on a bit louder, had to turn volume up quite a bit to hear.
