You state; I dont have experience with other countries??? I am German born, with a spanish mother, who only lived in the UK for 10 years. I left the UK 11 years ago and I am a spanish citizen. I know german, spanish and American comedy, because of this I am able to compare these 3 and I find UK comedy the best. I should say that the viewpoint of experts is that the UK creates grounbreaking comedy, you only have to know UK comedy to know that is a fact.

And I have to disagree that British comedy isn't popular outside of Britain. In Portugal (may be a small country but it's still one) British comedy is immensely popular and a lot of the series are aired on national television (it's actually how I came to know Catherine Tate).

You state; I dont have experience with other countries??? I am German born, with a spanish mother, who only lived in the UK for 10 years. I left the UK 11 years ago and I am a spanish citizen. I know german, spanish and American comedy, because of this I am able to compare these 3 and I find UK comedy the best. I should say that the viewpoint of experts is that the UK creates grounbreaking comedy, you only have to know UK comedy to know that is a fact.

Well, to be fair many of those countries are poor because they were raped of their resources by certain colonizers. Certain people owe them after years of exploitation.

@duinedubh Some of these countries who were colonised were given education systems, legal sytems, roads, infrastructure, clean water supplies, eradicated diseases, stability..........most of them now are a complete mess NOT due to British BUT due to the CORRUPT governments now running them!

@duinedubh Kenya, for one example. have you been to any of the "persecuted" nations you talk about? I have - I have worked in quite a few, so i have first hand experience. You simplify an argument to the point its almost not worth answering your "point". However, " a few roads" it hardly was, certainly in Britians case......my argument is too long for these tiny boxes but one quote is "when the British left the diseases came back".....imperialism did good as well as bad.....I can easily expand?
